Base Camp/High Adventure at Goshen

We had a great time this year at Goshen Scout Reservation for base camp and high adventure. here are some pictures to prove that.

This year's High Adventure Crew was the ONLY group that earned ALL five of the possible awards that week! Way to go! the five awards are:

• Trailblazer Award

• Moore Peaks (5 Peaks) Award

• Big Butt (mountain) Award

• Wilderness Award

• Lenhok'sin Participation Patch

• The Local Council's 50-Miler Award for hiking 50 miles that week.

The Base Campers earned several merit badges while at camp. They also received a Participation Ribbon, and they earned the Camp Adventure Award for going over and beyond what was offered at camp that week! Great Work!

Appalachian Trail Hike

The Troop took some boys on a hike on a portion of the Appalachian Trail on the weekend of 19-20 July. They had to hike with their full backpacks because it was a weekend hike in the mountains. The scouts hiked 7.4 mile portion of the trail through the Shendoah National Park.
