John Joyal

John was a Scout as a boy; he achieved the rank of First Class Scout in a Methuen Troop.  He became a Tiger Cub Partner when his oldest son joined Cub Scouts in 1995.  John served as an Asst. Den Leader for Pack 52 in Methuen in 2001 for his youngest son’s Den.  He also joined Troop 409 in Salem as an Asst. Scoutmaster in 2001.  He completed Scoutmaster training in 2002.  In addition to his responsibilities as Asst. Scoutmaster, John is a Merit Badge Councilor for Photography, Golf, Entrepreneurship, Salesmanship and Computers.

John is employed by Hewlett-Packard as the Worldwide Infrastructure Program Manager.   John has worked in the computer industry since 1983.  He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Franklin Pierce College – graduating Magna Cum Laude.  In the last 20 years, John has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Western Europe.

John’s lifetime achievements include his 2 sons, Master SCUBA Diver Certification, and a Black Belt in Martial Arts.  Besides Scouting, John enjoys traveling, motorcycling, photography and golf.  John, along with his wife Judy and 2 sons, live in Methuen, MA.
