Attendees: Judy Wheeler, John Dittman, Pat McDermott, Dennis Fugate, Robin Nussbaum, Janet Boettcher, Jean James, Mary Bullinger, Brian Wilson, Dale Walker, Carol Bateman, and Todd Coffelt.
Previous Minutes: Last month’s minutes were approved as written.
Committee Chair’s Report: Nothing to report.
Treasurer’s Report: Submitted in writing. The committee agreed to move the scout credits for: Fernandes, Logan, Mills, Passarelli, Rodman and Souders to the general fund.
Scout Master’s Report: Brian reported that they had a good backpacking trip.
Quartermaster’s Report: Dennis reported the troop has purchased 2 portable heaters.
Advancement Report: Carol reported that the new
scouts are advancing well. She is working on the rechartering.
Activities Report:
· Klondike – Jan 5-7, 2007
· Ski Trip – Jan 19-21
· Cabin Camping – Feb 16-18, 2007
Roundtable Minutes: No one attended the meeting.
Webmaster’s Report: Dale reported that the calendar has been updated. Everyone agreed that the website is a very useful tool.
Calendar 2007: It was decided to add a COH on January 8, 2008 to the calendar.
It was also agreed to change the 2007 COH to January 9.
Fundraising: The troop sold $3,765.00 worth of popcorn. The profit for the troop is $1,314.25 ($328.56 to the general fund and $985.69 was applied to scout credits.
Venture Crew: The venture crew decided to have a Troop Liaison. Mike McDermott was voted into that position. They will hold meetings on Dec. 17, Jan. 7, during the ski trip, Jan. 28, Feb. 11 and Feb. 25. After that they will meet every other week. Mt. Hebron has agreed to be their sponsoring organization.
Dollars for Doers: Todd gave Janet the paperwork to submit for the Dollars for Doers program. The committee decided to split the money from this program with Emory United Methodist Church.
Elections:
Dale will replace Jean as the Committee Secretary.
John will understudy Carol to be Advancement Chair.
Carol will be the Publicity Coordinator.
All other positions remained the same.
Adopting a Family: Janet will contact the needy family.
New Scouts: It was announced that 4 cub scouts from Pack 495 have committed to joining the troop.
Brian Smith designated Todd Coffelt to work with the Greenbar to develop a schedule to have activities at each meeting to be aligned with the district calendar.
