Staff will began to arrive in 3 short weeks. Everybody on the Ranch is going in 6 to 12 different directions. With all this activity I know we will be ready to open; but, there is never enough time. Run, run, run and I am not ready, must run some more.
At staff meeting last week I was asked to post this to Phil Talk, so here is a request from all of us. Do any of you know any good young people who might like a job in dining hall service or Tooth of Time Trader sales? We have some vacancies and some recent dropouts. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age, by their start date. The dining service jobs are the least glamorous; but, offer 5 days on and 3 off. Lots of time to visit other parts of the Ranch. Most base camp jobs are 6 and 2.
If you know of a very good young man or woman who would like to join some 800 + other Philmont 2000 Staff, have them call the Ranch at (505) 376-2281 and ask for Dick Mahalik or someone in Summer Employment if Mr. Mahalik is not available.
Another thought; If you know someone who is my age and retired, or a teacher with summer off, please tell them about Philmont. We would love to have people with experience fill your Staff. Seniors and open summer people can call the same main Philmont phone number
