When Ashley joined our troop she was so shy we wondered if we would ever hear her talk. By her senior year she was president, confidently leading the business portion of our meetings. Ashley organized the flag retiring ceremony at the mother-daughter weekend at Lookout Lodge. Ashley earned several badges, the senior leadership award, the senior challenge and the "God and Country" religious recognition. Due in part to her many accomplishments in girl scouts she was chosen for the National Council on Youth Leadership.
Ashley is now attending Campbellsville University, and is using her leadership skills teaching third, fourth and fifth grade students in Sunday School.
