Troop 290
Troop 290 is a part of the GS of Spar & Spindle Council which includes all of northeastern Massachusetts and a few towns in southern New Hampshire. Our favorite camp is in NH. Our troop has 14 girls in grades 6-8. Most have been scouts five years or more; one girl just joined this year. We like going places, making things, camping, singing, earning patches, partying and just being together.This year we are working on the prerequisites for our Silver Awards. For a Leadership project we planned and ran a Lock-In for sixty Brownie Girl Scouts in January. We have found we really like working with the younger girls and plan to lead a Daisy Troop next year. We have already started recruiting. One of our future Daisy Girl Scouts is the daughter of the young woman who was once the Daisy Leader for two of us. We think this is really cool.
