Chapter 20:
                                                          {Melon}

  ~Mel & Val at the Bridal Shop~

   "Okay, I got my dress completely done, my maid of honors dress down..." Melly said. "Maid of honor?" Valley questioned. "Yeah...you silly!" Melly laughed. "I thought so!" Val smiled. "And now I picked the bridesmaids dress out...but wait! Who are my bridesmaids?!" Melly thought out loud. "I guess your 2 sisters, Nick's 3 sisters, and maybe a cousin of yours." Val told Melly. "Yeah, I'll just bring them all here in a few weeks to get fitted." Melly smiled. just as Valley got the chills. "Wow, that was weird. I really think the boys are up to something." Valley said. "Well...let's call them." Melly said just as Val's phone rang. "Hello?" She answered. "Hey babe, you two having fun shopping?" Brian said on the other line. "Yes...we got some stuff done. Valley said. "Good, when will you two be back?" Brian asked. "Uhmm, maybe like 5 pm, why you ask?" Valley questioned. "Just because Nick and I were wondering." Brian said. "Why? What are you two doing?" Valley asked again. "Nothing. Just come back to Nick's house when you’re done shopping. We love you both. Bye." Brian said as he hung up. "Okay, I told you Mel, they are up to something!" Valley said, "Brian just too sweet and innocent. I wonder what it is." "We'll find out soon enough...let's finish up here, so we can go home. Oh look! That Invitation is beautiful." Melly said walking away from Valley.

   ~Brian & Nick~

   "Just because." Nick made fun of Brian as he playfully hit him, "Now they know something is up." "Like you could have done it better?" Brian looked at him. "Hell yeah...I would have been smooth. I know what women want to hear." Nick smiled. "Oh, shut-up, just because your getting married, doesn't mean your an woman expert!" Brian laughed. "Do you think the plan is gonna work out okay?" Nick asked. "How should I know, it was your idea!" Brian said, "But do your remember the last time we tried to cook for them?" "Yeah, those flames were high!" Nick laughed. "Don't remind me." Brian laughed. "Okay...we can do this and we only have 4 hours until they return and this place has to be perfect. Let's get a move on here!" Nick said. "Right, I'll go to the store & florist and get the supplies...and you can clean your house." Brian smiled as he grabbed his keys. "Yeah, Yeah...get everything on the list!" Nick yelled.

  ~At the Florist~

   "Ooh, I love roses...especially white ones!" Melly said as Brian entered the florist. "Yeah, me too. But the red ones are beautiful too." Valley said as she smelled them. Brian crawled to the counter and whispered, "I need your entire supply of white and red roses.""All of them?" The women behind the counter whispered back. "Yes..all of them." Brian said back as the florist headed back to the rose area. "Sorry ladies, but the gentleman up front needs my entire shock of roses." She said. "Oh, that's alright." Melly said putting the rose back in its vase. "Some lucky girl is getting a whole lot of roses." Valley smiled. Brian paid for the roses and got out of there without Valley and Melly seeing him. "Whew! That was close." Brian sighed, "I better get back home with all the stuff and help Nick set-up and cook." "Melly, it's almost 4, why don't we go look at the chapel down the street, then go meet the boys?" Valley suggested. "Sounds good, let's go." Melly said.

  ~Brian & Nick~

   "Okay...once the water comes to a boil, add spaghetti, and let boil for 10 minutes." Nick read the box of spaghetti directions. "Got it under control, Nicky. Did you put the roses out?" Brian asked. "Yes, I have them in vases spread out through-out the house as well as rose petals sprinkled out. I just have to do the candles and notes." Nick said. "Go do it! It's almost 5!" Brian yelled. "I am, I am!" Nick said as he left to go set it up.

  ~Melly and Valley arrive at Nick's~

   "Why is the house so dark?" Melly whispered. "I dunno...it must part of their great plan. I swear, if it involves basketball, I'm gonna kill 'em." Valley laughed as they entered the house. As soon as the girls entered the house, the table next to the door caught their eye. "Look, a candle and a note." Melly said as she picked it up and read it, "Val and Mel...you are so swell. So, go to the next candle." "Aww, look, rose petals on the floor." Valley said as they walked to the next shining candle. "Here is the next note." Melly said picking up and again reading it, "Valley and Melly...You smile so beautifully. Go to the last candle." "Why couldn't they come up with better lines then this?!" Valley laughed as they made it to the last candle. "I know. Well...this is the last one." Melly said as she opened it and read it once again reading it, "Melissa and Valerie...Why are standing in the dark? Turn on the light and await your surprise." "Where is the light switch?" Valley said feeling the wall, "Ah, here it is!" When the lights turned on, there stood Nick and Brian, both holding a rose to their hearts. "Aww, babe." Val & Mel said as they hugged their guys. "Come sit by the fireplace." Nick said. Once by the fireplace, the boys helped the girls sit on the fluffy, rose filled carpet, next to the warm fire. "Is that okay?" Brian asked. "Yes, it's prefect." Valley said. "Good. There are 3 more surprises to go." Nick said, "We're gonna show you guys how much we love you." "Here's the first one." Brian whispered as Nick and him kneeled in front of their lady, grabbed their hand, and prepared to sing the song they wrote for them.
