~~At The Stadium~~
"Tickets?" The security guard asked. "Yes, here they are." Dex said handing him the three tickets. "Thank you." The guard responded. "Eeeeeee!" Melissa screamed as we entered the stadium. "What was that for?" Dex asked.  "Oh my gawd, I am in the same building as the Backstreet Boys!" Melissa exclaimed. "Yeah, we know. Now, how are we going to get backstage?" I thought aloud. "We can't just walk back there. We have to figure out a way to get some passes." Dex thought with me as Melly was still freaking out. "Well, maybe if we just tell them that Brian's life is in danger they'll let us back." Dex said. "I doubt it. Wait, I got an idea!" I said evilly.
"Wha?" Dex was a little confused. "Come with me!" I said tugging at his shirt as we left Melly standing in the third row.
"Are you guys excited about this or what?" I approached a couple of younger teenagers. "Yes, OMG! This is like my first BSB concert and OMG I still can't believe that I'm here." One of the girls screamed. "Hey, I'll make you a deal." I started to con the girls. Since their seat were close to one of the backstage entrances (and they didn't even realize it), I said, "You see where my friend Melissa is standing?" I pointed to the third row. The girls nodded.
"Well, I'll trade you my seat for yours!" I said pulling the stubs out of my purse. "Are you serious?" One of the girls asked anxiously. "Yeah, you see I'm here mostly to watch the technical part of the show and the seats you are in are much better for that. I'm sure you're here to see Nick, right?" I said hoping they'd buy my story. "You are like so right. So ok, we'll switch!" We traded tickets and I pulled Melly out of her trance. "Why the hell did you just switch our seats for these crappy ones?" Melly asked noticing how far back we were. "Listen do you want to save Brian's life or not?" I asked her quietly. "Yeah! Brian can't die!" Melly screamed.
Some nearby fans heard and questioned our conversation. I lied to them and said that we were on the tech crew and we were talking about his microphone, and making sure it would work. Luckily, they were gullible and they believed us. "Hmm.....how are we going to get backstage?" I thought aloud again. "Wait a sec...I think...yeah!" I said walking over to a couple other fans that had backstage passes.
As I approached them I said, "Hello, I am on the Backstreet Crew and I see you have your passes. May I ask where you got them?" in a professional sounding tone. "Uh, E-Bay. The Internet." One of the girls said. "May I see them please?" I asked. They handed me the four tickets, I carefully studied them and then said, "Just as I thought." I shook my head. "What? What is it?" Another girl asked. "There have been people selling false tickets.
I am afraid you were one of their victims. These passes are no good." I said sincerely. "But, We will give you equal to what you paid for them." I said still being sincere. "Aww, I knew it was too good to be true. We paid $85 for all four." "Well, here's $85. And once again, I am so sorry that you were one of the victims." I said. The girls just sighed and went to their seats.
"OK, guys. Let's go!" I said to Dex and Melly after I was out of earshot of the fans. "Alright!" Melly said excited.
We started to walk towards the backstage entrance but a bodyguard stopped us. "You can't come back here." He said sternly. "We have passes though." Dex said showing the passes to him. "Sorry. Go ahead Colleen here will show you around." He said pointing to a young slender woman.
"Hello. I'm Colleen." She greeted us. "Hi I'm Reagan or Rae, this is Dexter and Melissa." I introduced us. "Well hi Rae, Dexter and Melissa." She shook our hands and then we began to walk around. "Colleen? Can I tell you something?" I asked softly. "Of course Rae. What is it?" She stopped and turned to me. "You have to promise me that you will believe everything I say and that you won't laugh. Can you do that?" I asked her, Melly and Dex just nodded as they stood next to me in silence. "Yeah, sure. What is it?" Colleen asked again. "I have these dreams. And the next day they always come true. The only problem is that last night my dream had something to do with one of the Boys. Could you help?" I told her everything although I only knew her for about 10 minutes. "Crazy enough I believe you!" Colleen seemed in awe of my story. "What's going to happen?" She added. "During the song 'Quit Playin' Games....' Brian is going to be shot. We can't let him go on stage tonight." I said worried. "How are we going to put on the show?" Colleen asked. "That's where my buddy Dex comes in! See if we go like this.."
I paused and pushed Dex's hair back a little, I continued with, "From a distance he looks like Brian. Could we put him in the show instead?" I said letting go of Dex's hair. "It'd work, but can he sing?" Colleen asked still examining the hair issue. "Sing Dex!" I told him. "I can see that you've been crying, you can't hide it with a lie, what's the use in you denying, the words you have at home." Dex sang the beginning of 'More Than That'.
"Wow!" Melissa said from my left. "When did you learn to sing like that Dex?" She asked. Obviously she hadn't come to the talent shows last year when Dex showed off his singing skills. "This'll work. Come with me!" Colleen led us to Brian's dressing room.
     : Knock: knock:
"Come in!" Brian yelled from the other side of the door. "Oh hi Col." Brian said as he saw who it was. "Listen, there's no time for chit-chat. This girl here...." she pointed to me, "is psychic, and if you go on stage tonight you are going to be shot." Colleen said straight out. "Oh, uh...." Brian was speechless. "Hi, I'm Rae." I quickly introduced myself, "ya see my friend Dex here looks like you and he can sing so our idea was to send him out on stage in your place. It's the only way to save your life." I finished. "Ah." was all he responded with. After a couple minutes of silence he continued with, "Let's make sure I'm understanding this right." he paused, "If I go on stage, someone is going to shoot me." I nodded, he continued, "But if your friend, Dexter is it? Goes on in my place then nobody will try to shoot him?" "Yeah, you got it." I confirmed. "Hmm." He thought aloud. "Won't they think that it's still me up there and try to shoot me?" Brian continued to ask his questions. "Nope, cause it can only happen exactly like it did in my dream. And they won't go after one of the other Boys either." I told him. "OK then, Colleen, why don't you take Rae, and Dex to the other guys and explain it to them too. Melissa can stay here so she doesn't have to tag along." Brian said ushering us out the door. "Sounds good to me!" I said following Colleen with Dex closely behind me.
"I sure hope this works." Melissa mumbled to herself as she sat on the couch in Brian's dressing room. "What did you say?" Brian asked sitting next to her. "Oh, I just said that I hope this works cause think the chaos that could erupt if someone in the audience realizes that it's not you out there. Madness I tell you, madness." Melissa said becoming more comfortable sitting next to him.
~~Meanwhile~~
"I think the other guys understand too." Colleen said leading us to the makeup room. "Do I really hafta wear makeup?" Dex whined. "Yes you do." Colleen and I said in unison. "Fine." He huffed.
~~After he was in makeup and costume~~
It was almost time to go on stage. All the Boys, including Brian and now Dexter, said their pre-show prayer. They invited Colleen, Melissa and I to join.  Brian led, "Dear Lord, thank you for bringing Dex, Rae, and Mel to us tonight. For they will save the show and me. And please Lord, let everything go as planned." He ended with an "Amen." So did the rest of us.
~~The Show~~
"Hello Ft. Lauderdale!" AJ of the BSB greeted the audience as they stepped on stage. "I wanted to let everyone know that Brian won't be dancing tonight because due to a bad accident, he hurt his ankle." AJ explained so that way no one would expect. Impersonating Brian, Dex said, "Yeah...Thanks Nick!" he joked. "Hey it's not my fault that you aren't good at basketball!" Nick joked back. They had a good laugh, so did the audience.
