The loss of $1.9 billion per day costs America quite a bit of its economic might. This affected people all over the U.S. Isn't this the sort of thing Bin Laden stated recently he was working toward? Crippling the American economy may seem a far reach but it can be done in countless ways considering we are interdependent. So how would Bin Laden do such a thing? Well, considering that the organized crime and other illegial underground businesses on the west coast must be losing at least $1 million a day, they would seem to be more likely to lean on the Union or on management to get people back to work. The ports and docks are one of the largest sources of income for these "businesses". With the economy being slowed down if not stopped, the Mafia is hurting as well. Since the government had to step in this leads me to the conclusion that the mafia is earning elsewhere. And where...?
Those infamous sleeper cells are all around us according to the government. They are funded by people throughout the world. If they, in a round about way, pay the mafia to "ask" the Union to keep the people out of work and payed them for their compensation of loses, the economy would and did suffer a serious blow. How do they continue to fund these clandestine operations? It is like insider trading: if you know the stocks are going down you sell early. If you know planes are going to fly into the WTC and Pentagon then you pull you money out of dollar, put that in T-bills and security companies and... Presto...you made millions in days.
Of course, this cannot be proven. These types of people live by codes for what ever the reasons and work toward causes. But be sure of this: Bin Laden is aiming at the U.S. Economy to cripple us, to take away our money and our lifestyle. These are the things that make us Americans.
