Club Rules (updated 10/14/09) 1. Membership fee is $50 per boat per year. New members must pay dues upon joining the club. Long standing members have until the March tournament to pay dues. New members must join the club at West Point, Wedowee, or Lake Harding. The club will not accept new memberships at non-local lakes unless they are recommended by a current club member. 2. $40.00 entry fee per boat to be paid prior to blast-off. 3. This is a buddy club. Each team consists of a captain and co-angler. If team members split up but both anglers stay in the club, the captain reatains the year to date points. 4. Members may fish by themselves if their partner cannot be present or they will be allowed to bring a guest. 5. Guests are allowed throughout the season but only members are allowed to fish the Classic. 6. If you drop a partner and bring in a new one, it will cost the new partner $25 in dues. After the 6th tournament, dues will be reduced to $12.50 per person for the rest of the season. 7. Any partner changes after the first six tournaments will not be eligible to fish the Classic.The Classic has to be fished with the partner you start the season with. 8. If two co-anglers fish together in a tournament, their total weight for that event will be divided equally between the two teams' yearly points. 9. Members may fish the Classic by themselves provided they have paid for and/or fished atleast 8 tournaments. 10. Each team must fish a minimum of 8 tournaments to qualify for the Classic. If you fish only 7 tournaments you have the option to pay for 1 tournament to still qualify for the Classic. Only one missed tournament can be paid for. 11. Yearly standings will be determined by adding the weights of your best 10 tournaments. 12. Blast off position will be determined by the order in which you pay your entry fee the morning of the tournament. 13. Anyone not inside the no wake bouys by weigh-in time will be disqualified.(No grace period) 14. Any team that stops to assist another team because of boat failure will not be disqualified from the weigh-in if they are not inside the no wake bouys by weigh-in time. 15. 5 fish limit per boat. No more than 5 fish allowed in the boat at any time except when culling your 5th fish. 16. Penalty for short fish results in loss of that fish plus the biggest fish. 17. 2 short fish results in disqualification from tournament. 18. Penalty for dead fish- 2/10 of a pound will be deducted from the yearly standings. 19. Any team may ask to have their fish re-weighed only one time. This must be done before you leave the scales with your fish. The team must accept the second weight announced. 20. No off limits on lakes. 21. Alcoholic beverages are prohibitted during tournament hours and weigh-in. 22. Lifejackets must be worn while big engine is running. 23. The top 3 teams in yearly points will fish the Classic for free. 24. Trophies will be awarded at the end of the year. 25. No trolling or live bait allowed. 26. The lake site for the Classic will be drawn from a hat at the September tournament. All lakes from regular season tournaments will be put in the drawing. |
