The first couple of times i tried fooling them with a streamer, but that method didn't seem to be too succesful.
Beside a couple of smallpikes, the fish wasn't very interested.
All this changed after a exchanged my flyfishing gear with a spinning rod with spinner.
In one specific canal i managed to catch six massive pikes on a 300 metres strech in just one hour, of which the largest measured 84 centimetres!
Also a couple of large perches showed interest in my lure, which was a welcome side effect!
Unfortunately, the sun set very quickly. After stealing an apple from one of the trees i walked back to the car, closing off another fine day..

Again another day at the water..
After a good breakfast i was at my location around noon (hey come on, it's a saturday you know:-))).
Weather conditions were perfect, so who's stopping me from catching a couple of these beauties?
Well, nobody was since i managed to catch eight pikes, varying from size herring to a lunker of 82 centimetres!
It took me a while before i started catching this time (the first time i caught most fish in the first 300 metres), but after i moved forward into the heartland, fish was easily caught again.
The bait was a Mepps Aglia spinner (size 5), and it was popular!!
To get where i wanted, i had to leap over two canals.
This time i covered an approximate stretch of one kilometer, Bringing seven pikes into the net.
It really seemed to be my lucky day, since i caught one more in a wishful cast just before i went back to the car!
