McIntosh Trail is one of 28 Community Service Boards created by House Bill 100 in 1993. Prior to that, we provided services as an agency under local Boards of Health since 1975. As a public independent agency, our revenue base is comprised of federal and state funds, Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, grants, private pay and contributions from the counties in which we serve. Governed by a local 15-member board, McIntosh Trail provides services under contract with the Department of Human Resources through the Region 2 Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, Addictive Diseases Board.
