ABOUT ANNE TROWBRIDGE AND JACOB WAKELEE

Here is what is written in "Memorandum of Comrade Ebenezer Wakeley Family History: Since They Were Known in America, drafted about 1911 by Ebenezer Wakeley, Jr. (Great-Great Grandson of Jacob Wakelee):

Jacob Wakelee is the son of said Jonathan Wakelee. He was deceased in March 1775. A deed dated 7 Mar. 1775 refers to his heirs and gives the names of his children as follows: David Wakelee, Ebenezer Wakelee, Benjamin Wakelee, Joseph Wakelee, his sons, and Sarah Merritt, Mary Daskam and Emma Gilford, his daughters. The names of the said children of Jacob Wakelee are again stated in a Deed given by them to David Wakelee, the next in the line of the descent towards our Comrade in the First Connecticut Light Battery. The Deed was dated 10 Dec.1787. The only comment made in "The Wakeley Family: 1639-1924" by Eben Stone Wakeley, son to Ebenezer Wakeley, Jr. is the following: Jacob Wakeley and his wife were farmers by trade and Protestant by religion. Jacob died in the year 1775 and Deeds show his children.
Special thanks to Robert Cunningham for his research on Ann Trowbridge and Jacob Walkelee.
