I had the opportunity in March of 2002 to visit Canada in the Pacific Northwest.  I was on business in Portland, OR and Seattle, WA.  It was more inexpensive to stay the weekend instead of returning at the end of the week.  So my business associates and I drove north into Canada and saw the beautiful city of Vancouver.
