Beginning January 5th, Troy will be hosting the first Friday monthly music & poetry open mic at Anodyne Coffeehouse in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
December 2006
Troy finished the first year of the Blowin' Down the Road Open Stage Tour, with 52 shows in 2006. With the release of his 2nd CD - EP Sinner Man Blues in January 2007, Troy will be back to continue the open stage tour.
November 2006
In November, Troy has been busy in his St. Paul studio, recording his new roots-Americana CD-EP, Sinner Man Blues, which will be released in January 2007 by Sun-Optikos Publications, and made available through the Web site and at all live performances.
August 2006
Troy recently relocated from his native Madison, Wisconsin to Minneapolis, Minnesota. And after a hiatus from performing in April thru July Troy is back to perform live "root-Americana". Stay tuned to the upcoming appearances to catch Troy in an intimate performance at an open stage in the Minneapolis area.
March 2006
The Blowin' Down the Road Open Stage Tour continues as Troy sings through Janesville, Madison, and back around the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro area. Catch Troy performing a differant set each night and hear the new songs that he has been gathering along the side of the road.
February 2006
Blowin' Down the Road, the debut CD-EP by Troy Russel is now available at live performances and by mail-order through Sun-Optikos Publications.
In January, Troy kept busy with open stage performances in the Madison and Milwaukee metro areas. In February, the Blowin' Down the Road Open Stage Tour continues as Troy will make numerous appearances in the Chicago metro area, and the St. Paul-Minneapolis metro area, as well as shows in Rockford, Dubuque, and Madison.
January 2006
After spending all of 2005 arranging and rehearsing roots-Americana music, Troy Russel begins the Blowin' Down the Road Open Stage Tour in January 2006. Also in January, Troy will be recording an eight song debut CD titled Blowin' Down the Road, to be released in early February by Sun-Optikos Publications.
