Black and White
By Alethea

In the beginning there was Black, and there was White. Nothing more. Nothing less. Just Black and White. Out of them the colors Grey, Brown, and Beige were created. The colors all lived together peacefully in the two colors Black and White.

Every so often new colors formed and floated to live with the other colors in the world of Black and White. The colors just lived like that for a long time, just floating around not minding anything. It was like that till the day Yellow was created.

Yellow was a color beloved by all and his brother Blue was liked by the other colors also. As Yellow and Blue grew up, they began to receive a marvelous Idea from a source we know not of. The idea grew and grew till the two colors couldn't take it anymore, and they stopped floating in the usual rotation in the world of Black and White. All the other colors were so aghast that they stopped also. All eyes were transfixed upon the two brothers.

" What if, " said Yellow in his tiny voice of gladness .

" What if we create other life forms?! "

All the colors looked at him in astonishment.

" Create other life forms? That's just plain nonsense, " said the booming voice of rage. All eyes were now turned to Red.

" Yeah, " added Green.

All the colors floated in silence. Until little by little each began to float to Yellow and Blue, and others to Red and Green. Until all had gone, but Pink.

" Oh! What shall we do? " she cried as she saw rage begin to build between the two armies.

" We shall fight of course, " boomed Red.

That's when it started. All the colors clashed into each other creating new colors, thrusting, so that colors started appearing every which way in the peaceful Black and White. Yellow and Red created Orange, who fought on Red's side. For even though they created Orange they were still themselves ready to fight.

In the background of this whole event were the two big creators, Black and White. They were displeased with what they saw. So as all was still raging around them, they turned and held a council. All around them the colors were still fighting, not noticing the change in the background.

White looked at the war and her eyes filled with tear.

" We can't have them do this! Ruining our once peaceful life. "

" Yes, " said Black , " let us do something. "

And " do something " they did.

Together using their powers they took the still raging Blue and Light Blue. Black then took hold of Light Blue, swinging him over like a cowboy would a rope. And all the world was filled with light. The sky was then created.

White took Blue and Light Green, smashed them together, and jumped on them creating the ocean. Black and White then took Dark Green and stretched her out between them, creating land.

Next they cut Brown, Peach, Red, and Yellow in half and made them into all of nature in every which way.

This did not hurt the colors in the process, for the colors were not colors anymore, but the things they were created.

Green was not Green ,but land. Blue was not Blue, but ocean.

Then Black and White took the colors Brown, Peach, Red, and Yellow and turned them into different kinds of walking human beings. By creating a shape, as one would when making a figure out of clay. They took parts of themselves and flew it into the world they created, and they took all the other colors and they created and threw them into the world also. They made Day and Night and they were finished. With that they wrapped themselves up together to a place beyond the world they created . At night, if you look closely you can see a glimpse of them dancing in the firelight of the moon.

Life continued in the world they created.

The races Red, Brown, Yellow , and Peach got together very well like the colors before them. They built themselves houses of mud and clay, and grew various crops of corn and wheat.

As the years passed, they evolved and began to build cities and towns. They also started to make and sell. It was in that culture that the war of humans started. The first war was related to the fact that one human had more land then another . The fight was rather gruesome and lasted a long time. They used various explosives to try and work it out. In the end all the humans had equal land.

So they evolved some more and had another war. This time the war was caused by the differences in skin color. This war was a rather large and consisted of weapons, that had to be used while fighting off of land.

The two gods could not surpass this war and decided to go and help the people. So Black and White went down, destroyed all the weapons, and went back still watching what the humans would do all the way. The humans finding that their weapons were gone resolved to fight with their hands instead. And the war still lasted.

The creators again came down, but this time instead of destroying the weapons like the last time, they moved the four different colored skins to different parts of the world. And they stayed there to see what the humans would do and if they would need any more help. But this time the humans forgot all about the war and kept evolving. And the gods Black and White went back to their homes.

Now you must remember, although all the humans evolved that does not mean the earth around them did. There were still no stars , but everything else was there. The gods obviously forgot that part in their creation. So the humans had no stars to gaze at, at night, and so therefore they had no stories of where they came from. So humans would at various times travel the earth looking for their past.

It was on one of these occasions that a human named Cristabal Colon found other races sailing the world, and war broke out again , when he tried to claim the land. The gods again came down to see what the new problem might be. So they resolved to brainwash them into loving eachother instead of moving them or taking away their weapons. So they loved each other forever more.

To express their happiness Black and White sent a radiant shower of gas balls that glowed of white to come upon the outer layers of the earth, and those balls stayed there evermore. Also they decided that their world needed stories so they made an old man who told stories and sent him to the earth. It wasn't until years later that they wrote the stories , but the gods decided it was good for now and they flew back to their homes.

The people, as I said before, loved each other ever more, and yet they still evolved to create massive buildings and ways of traveling.

So if you ever want to know where you came from remember the two colors Black and White.
