In the beginning there was only empty space. There was two gods, Alsa and Alandra. Together they had two sons. Panta the oldest, he was god of war and fire, he had a temper. Denson the youngest, he was the god of life and water.
Panta and Denson constantly fought. One day they were in a huge fight, Denson tried to drowned Panta. Panta through a fire ball at Denson and hit a pillars to one of Alsa’s temples. Alsa was furious! As punishment to them both Alsa made the fallen pillar into Earth. Then he cast it out into the sky. He told Panta and Denson that they would have to live as mortals.
“Should we punish our own children like this?” thought Alandra.
“ Of course, darling,” said Alsa.
But even as mortals Panta and Denson fought over this and that. So Alsa gave them company of animals and humans. Panta made one culture and Denson another. After every thing was good Alsa rested for three whole years, leaving Alandra to be in charge.
But a after those three years were up Panta started to argue over who owned the world. So they divided the world . Panta owned one half and Denson the other. They still went on quarreling.
Now Alsa angry for being disturbed yelled down to earth saying, “YOU UNGRATEFUL PEOPLE YOU SHALL SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES!” With that he sent storms and floods. He sent fire and coldness for one year. Then one day when the coldness was at it’s worst Panta cried out to Alsa.
“Father,father; Why have you been torturing us ? What have we done to despise you so much that you have killed off half of the humans you created?”
“YOU HAVE BEEN FIGHTING WITH DENSON AND CREATING WAR BETWEEN MY PEOPLE. IT’S DESTROYING MY WOUNDERFUL CREATIONS. YOU HAVE BROUGHT THIS ON YOUR SELF! IF YOU TRULY WANT THIS CRUEL PUNISHMENT TAKEN AWAY FROM YOU AND YOUR PEOPLE, THEN YOU SHELL DO THREE TASKS OF KINDNESS TO DENSON , AND HE TO YOU. GO TELL YOUR BROTHER THE NEWS WHICH I HAVE TOLD YOU.”
So Panta told Denson and they both agreed that this was for the best.
One day Denson needed some fire wood, but there was none on his portion of the world. So Panta gave him some. That was one act for Panta. Then Panta needed some water so Denson gave him some. One day as Panta was walking home from the river he spotted Denson. He was stuck in a tree trying to get some fruit. Panta helped him get down and even picked him some fruit too, and one day Panta was lonely so Denson comforted him. The last act was that they both decided to become friends. Alsa appeared to them in a field when they were threshing wheat.
He said “YOU HAVE DONE GOOD. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH YOU. I HAVE TWO GIFTS FOR YOU. THE FIRST FOR YOU AND YOUR PEOPLE ALSO. THAT THEY WILL HAVE A GOOD AND PROSPERING CROP. AND FOR YOU AND YOUR BROTHER YOU CAN BECOME GODS AGAIN.”
“Well, thank you father, but we’d rather live here with the people.” said Denson.
“WHAT ABOUT YOU PANTA?” said Alsa.
“ I would too.” Panta replied.
“ VERY WELL.” Alsa conformed. So Panta and stayed on Earth and prospered. They still fought occasionally, so they were punished. But they grew old and died, but their spirits still fight in each of us.
That's why we have wars.
