The movie starts out with a girl having a baby (Queen Penelope). A man (King Odysseus) takes Queen Penelope to a town. A crowd of people came to see and comfort her through labor.
She has a baby boy and names it Telemachus. King Odysseus takes the baby to see his country.
That same day people came from a far away place. The grandmother says that a war is about to arrive.
Odysseus goes to pray before the war then goes to see his wife and child. He kisses her good by and tells her that he can not guaranty he will return. He tells the nurse to take care of his wife and child.
While Odysseus is on the ship he talks to his protector the goddess Athena Athena tells Odysseus about his journey and what he will do. She leaves and they go to war.
They are in the war for a very long time. A challenge is set for the best warrior. The Greeks wanted to surrender, but Odysseus had a plan to win.
Then all of a sudden a giant sea serpent comes out of the water and eats one of the men.
All of Odysseus’ men sneak into a model of a horse and enter the kingdom of the enemy. While the enemy is sleeping Odysseus and his men come out of the horse and attack.
They all go back to sea on there way home. They go to another Island. One of the men find a cave inside the cave is cheese. They were picking up sticks when a giant Cyclops enters the cave and closes the entree with a big rock. The Cyclops eats one of the men and threaten to eat them all. Odysseus gives the Cyclops some wine. The Cyclops drinks all the wine and falls asleep.
While the Cyclops is sleeping Odysseus shoves a sharp spear in his eye. He becomes blind. They all run out of the cave except for one guy who gets eaten.
Odysseus and his men get back on their ship and leave. They reach another island. The island of the god of the winds. The god of the winds gives Odysseus the western wind. He tells him not to open it. It will lead him to the Island of Ithaca.
Odysseus gets back on the ship and goes back to sea. He sends a messenger bird to Penelope. When Odysseus goes to sleep the men try to open the bag. Up ahead they see they Island of Ithaca. One of the men open the bag and the wind blows them away to another Island.
They land on the island of the witch (Circe). Half of the men go to look for food and the other half stay with Odysseus. One of the men that stayed with Odysseus found a pig. They find out that the pig was one of the men.
It turns out that all of the men that went to look for food came along a beautiful women Circe turned them all into animals with her honey milk potion.
So Odysseus goes to look for the Circe. Along the way he comes across a bear and monkey. The bear and the monkey are two of the men.
Then the gods messenger Hermes tells Odysseus what will happen and about the Circe. He also gives him a poison price of grass that will make it so the wine will not change him into an animal.
He arrives at the Circe’ house and she says, “I have been expecting you.”
He goes inside and sits down. He drinks the wine and does not change. Circe is surprised and says, “The only way I will return your men to original form is if you take me to bed.”
So Odysseus takes her to bed and his men return to original form.
Odysseus’ mother thinks that Odysseus is dead so she goes to the sea and kills herself. Penelope is very upset now because her mother in law is dead and she thinks that Odysseus might be dead.
Odysseus finds out that he has been with the witch for 5 years even though it seems like 5 days. He finds his ship burred in the sand and tells his men to wake up.
Circe tell Odysseus of a man who knows how to get him home.
Odysseus goes to the land of the dead to talk to a guy. Only 1 man is aloud to go in the land of the dead at a time. You also have to bring a sacrifice. He gives the ram to one of the gods from the under world. He tells Odysseus how to get home.
Then he sees his mother in the land of the dead. She tells him about Penelope.
A bunch of men try to get Penelope,and gives her gifts. Penelope is making a rug and if Odysseus is not back when she finishes it then she will choose another husband.
Odysseys enters a cave and a monster comes out and attack one of the crew members. One of the men through a goat out of the boat and the monster eats it. They try to leave but the monster worlpool tries to get them. A lot of people die.
All of the men die except for Odysseys who floats to the island of the goddess Calypso. She tells Odysseus that he is home.
Odysseys has a lot of nightmares. He starts to cry. They go to bed together.
Telemuchas want to kill all of the men that want his mother. They say that Penelope has to choose another husband.
Then Odysseus says that he wants to get a ship. Then a ship comes to the island. He goes to the ship but the girls bring him back. Isthmus tells Telemachus where to go. Calypso tells Odysseus that he can leave. He makes a ship so he can go back to Penelope.
One of the guys goes to Penelope’s room and talks to her. He wants to take her to bed, but she wont because she still loves her husband.
All of the men tear up the tapestry and they burn it. Odysseus leaves and Calypso cries. She wants him to stay as her husband.
Telemachus to see this god to ask him about his father Odysseys. The god tells him that his father is dead. He also tells him to go back home.
Oddyseus’s boat gets destroyed during the storm. He calls out to Poseidon.
He says that he wants him to suffer but not die. He is back on the island of Ithaca. He hugs a guy. She watches a bird fly into the air.
Ossyseus’s son has a beard. He doesn’t believe that his father is alive.
Oddyseus tells his son about when he was little and then he believes that he is his father.
A lady says that he thinks Penelope is not true to him. She also tells him to go to his palace and see.
The prince returns to his home and everyone sees that he has a beard. The prince goes to tell his mother that he has not found his father.
Odysseus washes up to an Island . The Island of Ithaca his home. He stays with Eumaeus, the animal herder. Eumaeus finds out that the man is Odysseus.
Then Telemachus sees his father he does not believe that he is his father. Odysseus tells Telemachus things and then he believes. He starts to cry and hugs his father. Telemachus tells him about the men. Odysseus tells him to tell know one about him.
He talks to Athena and she changes him into an old man so he can go home and see the way things are.
Queen Penelope says that she will choose another husband tomorrow. Queen Penelope says the man that strings and shoots the bow clearly will take Odysseus’ place.
Odysseus’ in his old person form strings the bow and shoots it. He turns back to his original form. Telemachus and Odysseus kill all of the other men.
Telemachus goes to tell his mother that he is home. Then Penelope walks into the room where he is and they hold each other,and kiss.
