It all started with Penelope having a baby they named him Telemachus. After that Odysseus had to go to Troy to go and fight, you know like war. He was telling Penelope good bye and everyone was packing up and getting ready for the journey over sea. His mom wished him good luck too. Athena started to talk to Odysseus about the long journey before him.
Everyone was drinking like crazy on the boat. Then they got there and it was war!!! And the ten year war had just begun. Penelope had been making olive oil and she had a sad look on her face. During the war Achilles was killed and everyone was setting up a funeral, and then burned him.
The future teller was standing in the water and along came a sea serpent and ate him in one bite. Some people were inside the Trojan Horse because they were the prisoners. Then the war started again. Fire starts everywhere.
Odysseus starts to talk to the sea, Posieden and Posieden says you will not return home. They start sailing home. They won the ten year war that they fought. Telemachus was now way bigger now. Odysseus’s mother looked like she was jealous of Penelope because Penelope is scared Odysseus would die in the war.So then Penelope goes into the ocean and is praying for Odysseus.
Posieden is making it very foggy for them to sail. Then they found land but they are not sure where they are or what island they’re on. When they all started to walk around and explore the place to see where they could be. All of a sudden two people were just walking when............ they stepped into a HUGE foot print. They all stared in awe! They walked a little more and found a very large cave and everyone walked inside. They all started eating because there was food there and everything they could imagine.
Then Poleathumus the Cyclops came in his cave and grabbed a person and started eating him in one bite. Then Odysseus gave the Cyclops some of his special wine. Then Odysseus then told the Cyclops a lie, “If you eat me, you will ruin all of my secrets that everyone has told me,” said Odysseus. Then the Cyclops fell asleep because he was so drunk from the wine he had been drinking’. Then everyone started to build a large stick and put fire at the end of it, then stuck it right into the Cyclops eye and blinded his only eye so he couldn’t see anything. Everyone starts to scramble out of there like chickens with their head cut off. Except for one person, it was a guy who always played his flute and he didn’t make it out of there so he died.
They left on the boat and sailed for a months from the Cyclops Island. they found another Island but they didn’t know the name of it so they got some water and Odysseus found someone. Iolis is god of wind and was talking to Odysseus. Then Iolis blows air into the bag and it is so full that it looks like it is going to pop. Iolin said you are only a mortal but you are still trying your best, “I have faith in you, Odysseus,” said Iolin. Then they’re off sailing again. Soon he will be able to see his family and wife and son.
People were sleeping on the boat. Penelope was washing clothes and still had a worried look on her face. Odysseus was the only one sleeping and all the other people were awake. Then they were trying to think about that there must be treasure in the bulging bag because Odysseus had not told them what was in the bag. So they were too anxious to wait....... and then a guy started to open the bag ant there was a big wind people were flying everywhere. When all of it calmed down they were at the far side of the world now. they were so close to Ithaca that they were nearly at the shore but the guy opened it. This close!!!!!
They came to another island. They were so starving that they went looking for food on the island. Then they found a pig. They also went somewhere else and found a lady. She kept him there for a very long time. Then they all realized for being at her house for five days meant they were gone for five years.
So Odysseus almost completely forgot about his journey back to Ithaca. When Hermes swung by and told the lady she need to let Odysseus go and give him a boat to sail back. Or if she didn’t then the gods will drowned their island into the sea. so she agreed and let him go.
Odysseus went and started to make the boat. after he was done making the boat he set off sailing.He sailed for a long time. Poseidon made it very hard for Odysseus to sail in the dangerous winds.
Odysseus was found on the shore and some people found him. The king there said what’s your name? I can’t tell you my name is cursed. The king was pleased and gave him the best ship and they were off sailing. Odysseus is dreaming of his wife and then he woke up.
He then found him at Ithaca(back at Ithaca) He started crying and eating at the same time. Servant at the house recognizes him. Penelope sees him. Son doesn’t believe him that that is his father, then told him who he really was his father.
Son then believes him. Athena comes and talks to him. he was afraid Penelope has been true to him. Then she turns him old. Goes to the house and all messy. There were people still partying.
They started fighting to see who gets Penelope. Then they stopped fighting. Penelope didn’t found out who it is. It was going to be a test who ever shot the bow and arrow like Odysseus did then that would be the guy to marry Penelope. He shoots it through and Odysseus(not old anymore) is back. the great battle is over with Penelope. Athena and then Penelope has never seen Odysseus in 20 years. They start to kiss!
