The movie starts out in Spain. People are cheering for a man that says he is going to conquer the new world.
Two men gamble against 3 groups of really big men. They win a map they accuse each other of using loaded dice because they were caught by the big men. they get away.
But when they jumped over a building they run right into a bull and have to hide in separate barrels of water. The barrels get loaded onto a ship and they get discovered by Cortez and are sent to a dungeon.
They come up with a plan to steal a rowboat. Mcgill tells the hoarse that is on the ship to go get a pry bar and instead of getting a pry bar the hoarse gets keys to the dungeon.
They get in the rowboat and through the apple through the air it bounces on allot of things and then lands in the ocean. The hoarse really wants the apple so it jumps in the ocean.
They save the hoarse and then row right into a storm. After the storm Tulio and Mcgill float to an island. They get out of the boat and kiss the sand but they just about throw up because they see skeletons.
Mcgill figures out that the map of the island is the same as the island. They follow the map until they fall in a pit. There is a huge stone pillar they are talking when all of the sudden a girl runs right into them. She is being followed by huge men with spears.
They take Tulio, Mcgill, and the girl through a waterfall and then into EL DORADO. The natives think that they are gods (not the girl).
The natives high priest shows the two friends to their temple. They were talking to each other and they girl was listening in on them while they are talking about stealing all the gold in the city. She talks them in to letting her into the plan. They dress up in native cloths and then head down to a huge banquet. There is lots of singing and dancing.
The native priest tries to sacrafise a man but Mcgill and Tulio stop him. This big fat guy gives tons of gold to them instead.
Then Cortez arrives at the island. They talk the big fat guy into building a boat for the gold and them.
It takes the man 3 days to build it. Mcgill and Tulio have fun while he is building it.
Meanwhile Cortez is hot on the trail to El Dorado.
The so called gods have to play ball against the warriors. They cheat by using an armadillo as the ball. GODS WIN !
The evil priest uses a stone jaguare to destroy the city. Meanwhile people are finished making the ship. The Jaguar chases the two gods they punch the priest and he and the Jaguar land in the sacrafise place. The priest washes up right in front of Cortez. He leads him to the waterfall.
Mcgill decides to stay and Tulio is sad. Tulio is loading the ship and then he and the girl load. They find out that Cortez is coming and so they crash a pillar and make a title wave just before the ship leaves Mcgill jumps on. They have to jump off the ship because it is going to crash.
Instead they block the water fall so Cortez can’t get in. Cortez told the priest he was going to kill him because he lied.
Tulio, Mcgill , the hoarse, and the girl leave the island of the city of El Dorado.
