a video review

Prince Of Egypt
by Austin R.

This video Prince Of Egypt is about two brothers, one has royal blood, and one an orphan that was put into a basket by his mom to escape slavery. The basket washed up on the queen of Egypt’s balcony, safe from slavery.

Growing up together, the best of friends share their free life ruling all of Egypt. Until one day, the one named Moses realized he was one of the slaves. So he ran away.

Then one day Moses had to chase a sheep back to the herd. But then suddenly the sheep went into a cave. Moses followed the sheep into the cave. Now this cave is a special cave because this cave had the one and only god in it. God told him to take this staff and fulfill your destinies.

Moses took the magic staff in his hand and returned to free his people. So when he got back to Egypt there was no Pharaoh, there was Rameses, the one he used to call brother. Moses asked Rameses to let his people go, but Rameses did not. Moses showed Rameses that the staff he was holding was very powerful, by turning it into a snake and defeating the magic of the two priests. Still Rameses would not let his people go.

When Rameses was boating on the river, Moses went to the bank of the river, and told Rameses that he must let his people go or else he would turn the river into blood. But Rameses sent guards after him, so Moses turned the river into blood while the guards swam toward him. But still Rameses would not let his people go, so Moses told Rameses that if he would not let his people go he would kill all the first born, including Rameses’ young boy. But Rameses would not let his people go. So late that night Moses took his magic and killed every first born child in the city.

The next day, Moses went to see Rameses. When he got there he saw Rameses laying on the body bag that held his son. So Moses asked one last time, if Rameses would let his people go. Rameses said in a sad tone “ Yes, you can take your people.”

Moses gathered his people and started to leave. Then he reached the ocean and that is when he realized they were being followed by the warriors. So Moses took his power and split the ocean for a walkway. Then the people ran to the free land away from slavery. The soldiers followed, but they didn’t make it, because after the people ran through Moses collapsed the walk way, trapping all the soldiers with the exception of Rameses.

Then the people cheered and sang songs.
