A long time ago in a far away land called France there was a slave. That slave’s name was Sethacus. He was origanally from S. Germania but when Rome invaded he was taken captive. He was only 9 years old when that happened. His father was a hero among his people. He could take on man after man effortlesly. But unfortunatly when the Romans invaded they were heavily equiped with giant shields and 10 foot long spears. Not only that they were outnumbered 10 to 1 by the Romans. As you might have guessed he didn’t withstand the invasion.

Sethacus was now a slave for a man named Chimpacus. He was nice to him. Now Sethacus was a grown man. One day when Chimpacus was low on money so he regretfully sold Sethacus to a slave or gladiator dealer named Chrissus.

Chrisus owned 3 other gladiators named Andrew, Calleb, and a spainyard named Lucas. They were all very strong. Chrissus trained his gladiators hard. After 2 weeks of hard work Chrissus told them they were going to Rome to fight in the Colosseum the next day. They were all very nervous.

It was a long trip but they finally made it. They saw a huge sign as they walked throught the city gates on the Colosseum. It said “Reenactment of the invasion of S. Germania.” Chrissus explained how they would be the Germanic soldiers and how the odds were against them since Rome won. That night the emporer was coming to watch the fight. They were nervous.

The Gremanic gladiators walked onto the battlefield first. Then just like it really happened the Roman gladiators came out with big shields and long spears. Andrew, Calleb, Lucas and Sethacus had a plan. They ran up to a Roman Gladiator and circled him. He started to attack Calleb and the others ran up behind him and stole his spear. They took their four shields together and made a little sqaure and stuck the spear in between the shields. This prevented them from being injurred. They charged the Roman gladiators.

After they had beaten the Roman gladiators a whole bunch of archers came out and attacked them. They collected all the shields and put them in the tortiese formation which prevented them from enemy fire. After the archers ran out of arrows the Germanic gladiators finished them off.

The Emperer was impressed cause they weren’t supposed to win. He was so impressed that he gave them all a favor. Lucas asked for 5o acres of land in Spain and a house. It was done. Calleb requested the same thing but in France. It was done. Andrew just wanted to be free. It was done. Seth wanted something more. He wanted to have a small Germanic reserve for him and some other slaves from Germania. The emperor had to think about it. He said that Sethacus had to fight in the Colosseum for 3 more days and then he would get his wish.

The first day he had to fight Mighty Marcos. He won. The second day he had to fight Leo the Lion. He won. The third day he had to fight an Egyptian nicknamed Osiris. He was huge. He was equiped with a trident and a net. Sethacus ran up and plunged his sword at him. Osiris shuved his trident and his sword and it chipped off a piece of the sword. Sethacus picked up the sharp chunk of metal and chucked it at Osiris’ hand. He dropped the trident and Seth picked it up. Seth hurled it at Osiris and...Sethacus wins!

The next day the emperor granted his wish and he lived happily ever after like his ancestors.
