Lets Get Him!

The night before Halloween my divorced parents both wanted to take me some where. I remember the awful fighting on the phone. Yelling, and screaming.

Then finally I ran into my dad’s room and yelled for them to stop. I wonder why we didn’t have a normal family like every one else.

The next day was Monday. The day I go to my moms house. When I got there mom asked if I wanted any breakfast. But I was stuffed. It looked like my mom had something to say,or ask me.

“Do you want to go with me or your dad on vacation?”

I really didn’t won’t to answer.

“It matters were we are going.”I said.

My mom said she was going to California. But I already went there. Then she said dad was going to Egypt. That was more like it.

I packed my bags and went to Egypt with my dad. I miss mom. I was going asked dad if mom could come. But then they are just going to fight the whole way together.

On the plane my dad apologized about the way mom and him were fighting. I told him how much I was expecting this trip, and how much I like adventures.

Next thing, I found my self in a place called Egypt. It was so cool, camels, people in funny robes. Then I looked up. There in my sight I saw a big statue. I was about 200 fit high.

“Dad, dad!” I yelled

Wow it was so cool. The statue had golden necklaces, and jewels. On it’s head, there was a wig. It was made out of monkey hire.

I told dad the news. He said it must be a god, or a Pharaoh.

“Do you want to go to the pyramids?” He asked.

Wow I never new there were pyramids out here! The trolley we took had pictures of gods and goddess. Even a monkey.

When we got there, the entrance had bones glued all over it. It was kind of scary. We walked threw the small door. There was a steep hall way. Down we went. To the right the was a even smaller door.

I wanted adventure not a tour. First I was thinking it would be fun, but when I got threw the door It was a hole different world. There was a windy desert, with a whole lot of people in torn up rages.

Then a man came up to me.

“Get back to work!”

I had know idea what to do so I ran, and ran. Finally I slowed down. And looked up. Another statue. I saw it some were before. I think it is called a Pharaoh.

“Look there he is!”

“Let’s get him!”

Oh no. I started running even faster until I saw another little door. I crawled threw it. In stead of home, were I wanted to be. I was in a palace. It was so beautiful.

There was writings on the wall. I could read a little since in class we learned some Egypt writing. It said

“In the future everything will change, and the gods will show there power.”

“What are you doing here little girl? You the girl. The one who will save us.”

The woman walked over to me. I was so scared. Then I saw another door. For some reason I started saying there is no place like home. I crawled threw, and I was bake with my dad ,but on the trolley.

“We are already going home?”I asked.

“No Tara, we are still going to the pyramid.”

That was really weird. When we got there it was just how I imagined it. Bones around the door. We walked threw the door , and to the right was the littler door.

It was really spooky. I didn’t dare to go threw the door. It was dark. The only light there was, was a torch. Then one of the men that was chasing me ,popped out of the door, and said

“There you are.”

“AAHH!!!” I screamed

“What’s wrong?”

“I saw something,or someone!”

After the tour, I learned a lot. Like how they lived. We saw the statues the gods.

The whole party learned Egyptian stories.

I wonder if my friends believe me when I tell them about the adventure

My parents got back together again, and worked out there problems. I guess we do have a normal family now.
