| My involvement with Borders started when I was eleven and my sister and I were allowed to have a dog each of our choice. For myself, there was no other choice but to have a Border Collie. I had loved them since I was oldenough to read the Famous Five novels! So, in a home where my mother bred Golden Retrievers and my sister chose a Chihuahua our 1st Border Collie Molly came to live with us. |
| She wasn't a show dog as she had a blue eye however as far as I was concerned she was the best present I have had ever received. She was to set the trend for the family on a path towards Borders. Interestingly my sister now also has a Border and my mum now breeds Border Collies under the Quinora prefix on the South Coast town of Cobargo. I guess once you have owned a Border Collie there becomes no other breed! After 5 years of nagging to get a dog Stuart I purchased our first Border Collie together from Noel &; Maureen Kay from Trumagik Kennels, Queensland. As we were living in Katherine in the Northern Terriority at the time, Trumagik Northern Spirit "Bundy" arrived after a very long flight, all wide eyed, fluffy; full of mischief. He is Stuart's dog and hassuccessfully turned Stuart into a Border Collie fan. |
| Our next dog came from my mother, Quinora Southern Spirit "Tyla";Tyla was chosen to compliment Bundy's lines for our future breeding program. In 1997 we had our first litter of 6 beautiful puppies. From this litter we kept, Trucharm Royal Spirit, Chloe. From this litter two puppies went to pet homes, another went to a show/obedience home and two are working cattle on a farm in the Bega District, showing off the versitality of the breed. |
| We are a small select kennel having only bred 8 litters since we started in 1997, only breeding when we want something for ourselves. We strive to bred happy, healthy puppies with our main aim to breed puppies with exceptional temperaments. We have spread our interest widely over the years, competing in Obedience, Agility, Edurance trials and The Comfirmation Ring. In between we have also managed to fit in two beautiful children, Daniel and Georgia! We hope theygrow up to also love and appreciate the breed as much as we do.
