| TRUDALS Dalmatians was established in 1999. We have owned Dalmatians for 26 years, our first dal coming from a caravan park through a dear friend of ours Lorna Brady. This poor sickly dog contracted parvo and died at two years old from an unknown ailment, he really never got over the parvo in our opinion. Our second dog Sam came from Caroche Kennels. Sam lived till the ripe old age of of 14. When he was ten we bought our first showgirl ~ Molly (Palanquin Cracklin Rosie) and acquired the taste for showing. We mated Molly to Arthur (CH. Retma Rusty Armour) and produced CH. Palanquin Calca Star who, in 2002 won RUBOB at the famous Royal Melbourne Show (handled by our daughter Jessica). We bred again in 1999 using Doc (CH. Ruyton Xaminer). This produced Daisy (CH. Trudals Daisy a Day). Daisy had two litters to CH. Firencoach Th. Mohican. The first in May 2003 which produced three more champions ~ Arrow, Matilda and Monty; Joe and Ann Mercaldi's RUBIS winner. We repeated this mating in 2004 and have a young hopeful ~ Tommy - Trudals Black Tomahawk. Our liver bitch Gemma (Ch. Trudals Junee Babe) has just had 9 healthy puppies 9 weeks old. This last litter by Gem and Arrow is our first Trudals/Trudals mating. We remain optimistic that these 2 lines coming together will produce some great dogs not just as show dogs but lovely pets to caring homes. |
