"The Fields Are White Unto Harvest."

Our church is holding a Deaf Ministry Conference to exchange ideas on how to reach and win the Deaf soul.  If your church has a deaf ministry, or if you are thinking of starting one; we hope that you will join us.  The conference is for anyone involved in the deaf ministry and our goal is to learn how to reach the Deaf for the Lord.
We don't have all the answers, and so would like you to offer your ideas also.  Please let us know if anyone in your group would give a presentation on reaching and winning the Deaf soul.  Please bring any materials with you which you feel are helpful in your ministry.  We will have a time for all of us to review what others have brought, to get ideas on how to help each of our ministries through new books, videos or resources.
Our church will provide a mid day meal at no charge to you.  To help defray costs, we ask if you would be so kind as to bring a cake, brownies or cookies.  The cost of the conference will be very minimal, only $10 per person, just enough to help cover expenses.  We will also be taking a love offering for our special guests.
This year we are thrilled to have with us a deaf drama group out of Ohio, led by Pastor Fred Adams.  They sign to music and act out the stories.  This group has performed at Heartland Baptist Bible College, and around the country.  We are looking forward to an exciting day with this talented group.
The conference is scheduled for Saturday, October 27 from 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., at Fellowship Baptist Church in Lincoln, NE.  The address is 1515 West South Street on the corner of Southwest 16th and West South Street.
We would like to encourage you to take one day out of your busy schedule and come see the drama group that has blessed so many hearts.  It promises to be a day you will remember for a long time as you see the hands flowing to tell Deaf about the Lord, and as you learn new ideas on how to reach and win Deaf.
Please write, phone or email us back with ideas for discussion concerning winning the Deaf soul, and to volunteer to give a presentation of how you explain the eternal matters to the Deaf.
If you know of another fundamental, independent, Baptist Church, which may be within driving distance of us. Please let us know so that we may send them an invitation too.
About Our Speaker And The Group
On Sunday, October 28th, Fellowship Baptist Church will be having the Sword Deaf Church Drama and Chorus group with them.  The members in the group are all deaf including Pastor Fred Adams, who will be leading the group.  Bro. Adams was raised in Omaha, where he attended the Omaha School for the Deaf.  He was a full-time evangelist all over America for 11 years after graduation from Temple Deaf College.  He founded Sword Deaf Baptist Church in Cincinnati, OH, then founded Sword Deaf College in Mason, OH.  Bro. Adams also travels across America to help Churches to start Deaf ministries and Deaf Churches, his immediate plans include Alaska and Africa.  Though he is Deaf, he speaks as well as signs his sermons.

Because only 2% of all the deaf are BORN AGAIN CHRISTIANS, and if ALL the deaf people in the world were put into ONE country, it would be the THIRD largest country in the world, Bro. Adams has a great burden for the Deaf.  This burden is also a burden of the members of Fellowship Baptist Church.  Pastor Merv Goodrick first heard of the Deaf Drama Group at Heartland Baptist Bible College in Oklahoma City, OK and suggested the Group for the next Deaf Ministry Conference.
