THE ALBUM "DREAM"
Dream was the title of the first, and so far only trueBliss album.  It was released in June of 1999 and has ammassed in excess of double platinum sales and debuted at #1 on the New Zealand charts.
Peak Chart position: #1
Weeks on Chart: 13
Certification: Double platinum
Tonight
(A Ioasa)
The first track on the album was also the first single.  Tonight, with it's anthemic and in some parts almost operatic vocals over the top of an awesome dance beat was a #1 hit in New Zealand and was the highest selling single of 1999.****1/2
My Sweet Love
(A Ioasa)
This is Dream's lush ballad.  Showcasing the stunning vocals of the girls and with an orchestral backing this track is nothing short of mesmerising.****
Freedom
(G Michael)
If you saw the TV series you would see how much Joe loved this song, she sang it at her audition and the girls just had to record it!  This was definitely one of the most popular tracks the girls did and although it did not make the top 50 when it was eventually released as a single, it did make ZM's top100 songs of the year.****1/2
Number One
(A Ioasa)
The girls second single was an upbeat funky little number.  The lyrics might be simple but the vocal arrangement is nothing short of stunning!  It was a top 20 hit and featured an awesome video clip.  Definitely the best of the three singles from the album. *****
La Isla Bonita
(Madonna, P Leonard, B Gaitsch)
At the last minute Sony decided that they wanted one more track for the album and so Joe suggested they record this Madonna classic from 1986.  Not the best song on the album, it could however have been a great double a side with Freedom.***
Dream (Let This Be The Love)
(
A Ioasa)
The title track, with it's pounding chorus is almost anthemic.  This was the track that opened the concert tour and although it is not one of the strongest songs on the album, it could perhaps have been a single.  The live version of this track on the Freedom single is stunning. ***1/2
I Love The Way
(C Thompson, J V Tongeren)
The first slow song on the album, is a bit of a disappointment, the girls vocals are excellent, especially Joe's "Want you to love me forever" but the lyrics and production are nothing special. ***
Heaven
(A Ioasa)
This is one of the most different tracks on the album, but at the same time it is very cool.  I do however feel it was wasted and a dance remix of this song could have been great. ***
Love To Love
(A Ioasa)
Joe herself said she would like to flush this song down the toilet and we have to agree - it is nothing short of dire - it would have been great on a Bardot album though.  It's only saving grace is the live version on the Freedom single which is slightly bearable. *
Believe
(A Ioasa)
Now NavyBloo and I have very differing views on this song, Bloo thinks it is awful, I on the other hand quite like it.  There is not much too it and it would have been great to see some club remixes of this song but the lyrics are very positive "Believe In Yourself Gotta Make It Happen" ***1/2 (a1) * (NavyBloo)
Closer
(Stock/Aitken/Waterman)
This was the first song the girls recorded together and the stunning acapella version of it is a fine way to finish off their album leaving the listener with a mesmerising feeling.  Originally a 1980s track recorded by Haywoode and Kylie Minogue - trueBliss' version leaves the original for dead. ****
Don't Turn Your Back
(A Ioasa)
Euro Pop is the word to describe this song.  It was meant to be the fourth single from Dream but it never eventuated.  It is a pity really as it is definitely the best song on the album.  A radio edit and the right promotion could have seen this song storm the top 10.*****
