This is a the dictionary meaning of
ISM: noun - a distinctive doctrine,
practice or school (often used contemptuously); suffix – expressing action as
in ‘hooliganism’, state, as in ‘pauperism’, doctrine, as in ‘Freudianism’,
characteristic, as in ‘heroism’,etc.
