My name is Maia and I read your letter to Vin and thought it was really touching and I can kind of relate.
Although I havn't had cervix cancer I did have the awful experience of a miscarriage last year.
The same year I was in hospital with cervicular trauma from a gutless date rape incident and also before that I had a (thankfully) benign tumour removed from my left breast which has left me with a scar that will always remind me just how lucky I was that it wasn't cancer.
When the doctor told me that if it wasnt removed that it could possibly turn cancerous I was shocked beyond belief and it was an incredible moment of realisation for me, it really was a wake up call.
You always hear of other peoples unfortunate stories and you never imagine it could well happen to yourself.
It made me think of all the important things in life. Among the usual: family, friends, life its self, all the normal things that were important, an actor stood out and that was Vin.
I first noticed him only a year or so back and the first movie I saw of his was The Fast and the Furious. I think he is a great actor and XXX is my fav movie. I cant deny that i think he is sexy, but it truly is his excellent acting abilities that makes him stand out against the rest.
If he was merely good looking then I would think 'oh yeah hes good' but I probably wouldnt think of him again.
It is his absolute brilliance that keeps me going back for more, he is just so unique. If I ever had the chance to meet one famous actor in my life it would definately be Vin.
It was his movies that momentarily distracted me from my miscarriage, even if it was only for a couple of hours.
No other actor has had this effect on me before and I honestly think no other actor will ever give off the same vibe as I have felt from watching Vin.
Is there somewhere I can write to him I have had a little trouble finding it on the net and I thought such a devoted fan like yourself might be able to give me some insight. I would be most appreciative.
I also want to know what the chances are of Vin actually reading anything himself that is sent.
I'm 24 years old.
