What's new in the World of Nick? |
A couple funny things before I get to the final results...
I've already whined and complained about
the idiotic voting mistakes I've had to endure. However, here are
a couple anecdotes that I'm sure you'll find funny.
* While I can't be sure, I think Beth made some
votes I didn't quite expect. Hey, I'm all for silly votings... unfortunately,
she chose not to vote for herself. Had she done so, she would
have been right near the top. And had those lazy goofoffs who wanted
to vote but never got around to it had voted, she probably would have been
higher.
Sorta' reminds me of that old joke about
the Democrats, Republicans, and Ross Perot...
* I suppose being smiley helps. I would have voted for Sunshine because she's so sweet, but no one else did. I thought she only yelled at me.
* How's this for humility? This is a direct quote.
Hey Nick,
OKay well I've thought long and hard
about who i wanna vote for this
thing... ;) and guess who it is
the only one it can be .....ME...so yea
im voting for myself since no one else
seems to be!!! :(...So yea thats my
vote!!! Buh bye*Z
Well, two things I should say to this. First, she actually received a couple votes, so she shouldn't be putting :( in her messages. Second, the phrase 'the only one it can be... ME...' sounds like something I would say. For that brazen self-lovin' I'm tempted to award some bonus points, but unfortunately I said that no one could get extra points for something they said about themself. Oh well.
* I can't tell you who Danielle voted for. I'm not into revealing votes. It would get me into trouble and Dancakes would be angry at me. However, I can tell you something funny. She probably voted for herself and she probably voted for a friend of hers... but who was her third vote? Well, I must agree that I would also have voted for the girl she voted for... but Danielle didn't even know her name! I got a description and some questions from her the first day and she pointed at who she wanted to vote for the next. Now that's just silly.
* I've awarded the following people bonus points.
Heather: because someone's vote actually
referred to her as Sunshine. See? I told you that my little
thenick-names are spreading.
Danielle: because someone's vote referred
to her as Dancakes.
Colleen and Jenn: The twins both
get an extra point because someone wrote this little paragraph about them.
And no, I am not making this up. This is one hundred percent truth.
My vote for best girl goes to
Jenn and Colleen. They make a
crazy tag team. I know you can
only vote for 1, but it's hard
to vote for one and not the other.
This is ridiculous in so many ways. You must question this person's tastes as well as the 'unique' comments. First, this mystery voter refers to the 'best girl' as Jenn and Colleen. That's 'girl' in the singular, not plural. Secondly, this mystery voter displays complete and total ignorance of the rules with his "I know you can only vote for 1" phrase. Idiot! You can vote for THREE girls! I have to agree, they do make a 'crazy tag team' (whatever that could possibly mean), and it would be hard to vote for one and not the other... although I had no trouble with voting for one and not the other.
One thing to ponder is who made this comment. Hmm. In fact, maybe Jenn or Colleen did so, but they just spoke in the third person, much like The Nick sometimes does. Maybe *I* made that comment. Another thing to wonder is whether it was a guy or a gal making that comment. Think about it. I can't say, but just think about it. The possibilities...
* Spelling I. I thank the people who voted for Shauna Downes and Carly Adams, not just Shauna and Carly. I mean, with soooo many of them, I'm glad you felt the need to specify that it was that specific Shauna and that specific Carly. Frankly, I was confused. And I didn't know if it was 'faith grabowski' or the other Faith who spelled her name with capital letters. I was similarly confused with Stephanie Popejoy.
* Scottie got a vote. G.W.H.E. It should be noted that the person who voted for Scottie didn't spell too well, so it's entirely possible that he/she was confused as to his gender. I've always been sure he was a guy, but I guess there's a possibility for confusion...
* Spelling II. "Amberlee"? "stepanie"?
"stefanie"? "that rehm girl"? "jen"? As time went
on, I began seeing more and more creative spellings of common names.
