How did the party go, you may ask. That's an excellent
question and this is the right place to be reading!
I had the highest bowling score! ...until
the second game, at least. I barely placed into the top levels. No
big prizes for me, I'm afraid. I suspect more cheating this year, but
I can't prove it.
I did, however, win an award. The Dairy
'Err award is back in my hands. This is a glorious day. A wonderous
day. Greg stole it from its rightful owner (I don't know how; I suspect
cheating was involved) but I have reclaimed it. It now sits on my chair
(or at work where I have neglected it) proudly boasting of my abilities.
The Dairy 'Err award, for those of you who may not know, is given to
the person who did something sufficiently amusing or silly, usually accidentally,
over the course of the year proceeding the previous employee party. Apparently,
falling on my own 'wet floor' sign and then getting pulled over for an hour
right in front of the store firmly planted the award in my hands.
Amusingly enough, Kyle's 'civil defense'
drill idea was also presented as a runner-up to the Dairy 'Err award. For
those of you who do not know, Kyle had his shift sit on the floor in the
small hallway for a while to practice 'in case of a terrorist attack'. Less
commonly known is that I put that little bit of nonsense together, myself.
In conclusion, pizza is good, bowling is better, and thanks
to Candace for a ride up to the party and Jim for a ride home.
