Interview with Feable Weiner So you probably have read our review of the blistering sound of “the Weiner” as we affectionately refer to them around the office. But now it’s time to learn a bit more about what’s going on behind those sweet, baby eyes. Prepare yourself, Madders, for the true glory that is Feable Weiner… TMM: Who all is in this mess, and what are the positions? FW: Atom the Atomic Weiner is guitar and voice, Josh the Heroic Weiner is guitar and voice, Jeff the Handsome Weiner is drums, Ben the Bandit Weiner is Bass TMM: To those unenlightened, how would you describe your sound? FW: Once you get past the bad, bad, bad band name, one can then realize and worship the truth that is our music the best combination of music and words, ever. TMM: Okay boys, seriously. What's up with the name? FW: Okay, dude, seriously, what's up with your zine and geocities? Nah, but you said seriously, so.... it's seriously a takeoff on our idol, Little Richard's name. Does that make it one less "bad" in your review of our record? TMM: (burn) Where do you draw influence from? FW: We are mostly influenced by our mystic Indian ancestors. TMM: How is touring? FW: Bitchin' to the maximus! It has been our best tour yet. TMM: What is the general music scene in Tennessee like? I mean, do you get much of a reception out there? FW: If we didn't get a good reception there we wouldn't be talking to you. We are busting out in a big way because the scene that raised us in Murfreesboro, TN was so supportive. It's spreading like wildfire and there’s no use trying to stop this Weiner blaze now!!! TMM: How much of the music you make is just a joke and how much of it is pretty personal? FW: 0% joke, 100% most-unprecedentedly non-non-non-non-non-non personal. TMM: Where do you want to go next with your career? FW: To the toppermost... TMM: Okay, dream bands to tour with. FW: Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis, strictly. OK, I guess it would be kind of cool to have Weezer open for us for a few shows. TMM: Finally, as always, punch or kick? FW: Kickdick.
