She was so upset and in shock that she was wandering around aimlessly, shaking, dirty, and scared to death. She just needed to find someone to help her, since her parents and siblings were now all dead. Little Ginny was the only witness to the crime, and is the only one who knows who killed her family. She is convinced that they are after her. Local Charity Faichild had discovered the dirty little girl at the creekside and cared for her until the Harrises decided to take over care until something more could be done and so that they could protcet her from whatever might happen next, once the law got involved. This was adventageous for both Charity and the little girl because Charity couldn't care for a girl in Logan's cathouse, and the Harrises are full of love and kindness to spare. After spending time with the Harrises, Ginny was claimed by her mother's sister and her husband, Eugene Perkins. After a brief stay away, the new family has returned and has settled nicely in town. |
