The Past...

Oscar-My Border Collie

A dear friend, named Cindy, gave Oscar to me. I was about sixteen at the time and I was getting ready for a Job's Daughter installation when Mom got the call that Cynthia had committed suicide. I was distraught, because it was Cindy who a few short months before had given me Oscar. Oscar was named that because when he was a puppy he was a sloppy eater. His eating caused us to "dub" him Oscar after the Odd Couple TV Show. He was very special.

He was an awesome companion. He loved to play fetch and he would walk with me without a leash. I could take him anywhere. He also was my protector. He would make sure that even in rough housing with my brother that no harm would come to me. He would hop on my lap and snap if my brother even pretended that he would lay a hand on me. One time two of our other dogs got out and we were really worried. We went a night without them and there at 6:00 am in the morning was Oscar biting and herding them back to our front door. He followed them and brought them back so they would not get lost.

Oscar lived for about 14 years. He always kept our house in order. When we lost him to nerve and heart failure, I felt hopeless because I knew we would never get another like him. So I lived in L.A. for awhile (10 years) in apartments were dogs were not allowed. Still every time a Border Collie or Tri Aussie would go by my heart would leap. Oh, I just love the herding dogs. But I felt I would never have one again. Oscar was just one of those once in a lifetime pets.

My life had many ups and downs. I was devastated by a long-enduring relationship that did not work out and re-dedicated my life to Jesus. God had pulled me out of bad times.

I was leaving L.A. and I was coming back to San Jose. I remember driving down the Highway 5 and I felt a certain peace. I heard the Holy Spirit saying to me "Restoration, restoration, " and I felt a certain peace that I was in the Lord's hands. I decided to follow his path for me. After I returned and got a job right away I went to Butcher Park in San Jose to pray. The Lord said all I have and will do for you, you will share with others. Little did I know what that
all meant.

I went church shopping and came upon a small Foursquare Church in Campbell at the time called Coastlands, which is now in Santa Clara and called Valley Life Center. It was here that I met Heather Pozzi. As Heather and I began to talk we shared our love for our pets. Her girl Emily was going to have puppies. Emily immediately caused my heart to soften. She had given birth to the most unbelievable puppies. And there selected for me was this beautiful boy that was black, white, with copper "kisspoints" and his personality was the spitting image of Oscar.

Heather offered me a co-own with him, which means she is "Grandma" and I am "Mama." He just loved untying my shoes and burrowing into my lap and behind me, on the kitchen floor . I knew then that the Lord knew the desires of my heart. And without even speaking the words he had sent Heather first to be a friend to me, like Cindy, but also a puppy was given to me to replace what I found to be so hopeless several years earlier. My Heart has been restored
and I want everyone to know..."God Loves Us All,"l and The LORDS brings angels like Heather to help him show his Love..!!!

I named him Revelation, because I wanted my puppy to remind people of God's Grace and have them ask me questions about our Beautiful Savior, Jesus Christ. I want them to know that Jesus is alive and one day he is coming back. I would invite anyone to get into God's Word there is so much hope. And what He has done for me he will do for you. He wants to bless us beyond what we can even imagine, as long as we accept Him as Savior and obey Him. If you want to know more or have questions about Jesus and The Meaning of Life, I would encourage you to attend an Alpha course close by you.

Well, on the scene came Katie, another beautiful Heatherly Girl (check the site it is awesome) and we came into another co-own of a beautiful Phantom Merle. My mother was his owner and known as "Mom" and Heather is "Grandma." Mom, is "tossed" what to name this beautiful boy. So mom and I sat down and started scanning the Bible. Suddnely I say "Joshua." "Look Mom, Joshua is just a little general. He can lick his weight in tigers.!! He was mighty for about 14". He would take on Revelation hands down.

He was Mama's favorite boy. He loved to play with toys and curl up on Mom's lap. He slept with her every night. One morning he pushed out between someone's feet and I guess he tried to follow my niece to school and headed out towards Camden. Mom called me at work and said she could not find him anywhere, I came home and prayed that we would find him.

As a family we set out to search for him. We found him, he had been run over and I know that the homeless man in the park must have picked him out of the street. We were devastated, he was so special and he lived up to his name. Then at church, in my time of mourning, I saw the hands of Jesus sweep our little boy up in His hands. God had provided me the comfort that our little boy was with him. Mom was just not getting along well though, Joshua was about 16 weeks old, life around our house was bleak. Even Revelation was mourning his brother's loss along with the whole family. Heather knew Ember Trimble of Victory Lanes had a litter, and she emailed me this picture of this red and white fluff ball. We worked out another co-own and Ember (may God always bless her for her compassion) brought him over to us. Mom was so cute she was on a name search again, again she went to the Bible, and then she tried "Skippy, Fido", all the assorted puppy names.

Then on night in the quietness of the kitchen, the Holy Spirit whispered in her ear "Magi". And boy does that fit this little wise boy.

Magi brought her joy. He is a bouncy boy full of energy; red Merle with blue eyes.He has some of Joshua's spirit. Because he can lick his weight in tigers too! He provides so much joy. And he can sing a hearty worship song to Lord. He is a singer. He is small enough to perch himself on your shoulders. And if you have tears he will be up in your lap with one large leap to wipe the tears away with his soft tounge. That it his purpose. God has given us a lovely energetic happy boy to bring joy to us.

Then two weeks ago comes a lovely boy...Cruz.. His owner Ember had to give him up. Heather and Ember blessed me with Cruz. He is not interested in "playing bal"l but just wants to obey and love us to pieces. He has "doe eyes" and a fluffy coat. He will always find a place to tuck himself under your arms and close to your heart. When Ember said the first time I got Revelation that Aussies were like potato chips, you just can't have one, I found it funny, but now I know the truth. You just can't have one. They are your best companions, they follow you around wherever you go, and they totally love on you even when you have a bad day.

Look for Cruz, he and his brother Revelation our going to be awesome obedient and Therapy Dogs. I love my boys and I love that the Lord has brought Heather and Ember into my life, God has mended hearts and he has built us up, and each of us praise His Holy Name.

The Present...

Through my story, you see I have 3 beautiful boys. Revelation, Cruz, and Magi. Mom actually owns Magi. I could almost assess their personalities when I first received them. I know that Revelation and Magi would both be obedient, show, and therapy dogs. Their total aptitude is to love, honor their owners and obey them. The have sweet souls
and they want to gain our approval in everything they do. Magi, is bouncy and he will do well in show, but his total agility prone. He leaps and bounces and runs really fast. One time I took him to Bark in the Park and he could not take his eyes off the herding, I think he really wants to do that.. He already practices with my two cats.

I remember the first time I had shown Revelation. He was all of three months old. He was in the ring with his brother Cruz. I was praying every one else would win,and the judge turned to me and gave me Best of Breed Puppy. I was shocked.I was balling. I thanked the Lord. I was so proud of my furry fuzzy loveable boy.

Since then Revelation has gone on to get his International Championship through IABCA. Cruz
is also a champion in his own right, I look forward to showing him as well. Cruz is a Jr. International Championship and he has such good attitude when he shows. But they are still little "heart melters," and that his their preferred hobby. They are both naturally obedient boys and look to their owners for direction. One time Heather called Revelation
out of the truck to go play with the other dogs and he wouldn't go until he heard word from me. That is how obedient they are!!

The Future...

My Future is definitely to keep showing the boys in confirmation, obedience, and using them as therapy dogs. I will also train Magi up for show, agility, and herding. I believe
that whatever the Lord gives we must use for His Kingdom. Heather and I both are going
to use our dogs in therapy to bring joy to others and hopefully the Lord will open
doors for us to minister the Gospel and bring Jesus into the lives of those who need
comfort. Magi will also be used in entertainment to bring laughter to those in pain.
We always need to use our gifts and expand the Kingdom of hope and love and comfort and I can think of no better way than through the creatures God has given us to care for during our lives.

In Christ,

Ms. Kathy Hall
