Well, my name is Emma. I was born in Bluefield, West Virginia. But I didn't grow up there. I moved around a lot until I was 8, when my family settled in Greensboro, NC. I guess you could say that I never really fit in anywhere. I didn't have a hometown and I was always the new girl. Maybe that's why, in my first grade class, I had such a big crush on David from New Hamshire - because for all of our 6 years, he understood the most what it felt like to be nomadic.
Anyway. I am currently a junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am a dramatic art/communication double major. My best friend, Gillian, and I just bought an apartment about 5 minutes from campus. It's going to be a blast.
When I'm not at school, I live with my parents in Gso and my favorite person in the world: my sister, Ellen, who will be 17 in a little over a month. She's grown up so fast.
I am 5'8.5". I have longish blonde hair and blue eyes - "emma blue." For a while last semester I had strawberry blonde hair...more like red. but then i dyed it back blonde and boy, was it blonde. so this past january i had it professionally done back to my natural blondeness. so, i'm back to normal now, but experimenting was fun. if i ever decide to dye my hair again, i think i'm gonna try brunette....or auburn...anyway.
I'm pretty much the laid back girl. I have changed a lot in the past year. I used to be a complete bitch. But I saw the error of my ways and now I'm very easy going. And I like myself this way a lot better. I feel more comfortable in my own skin and I don't have to worry about losing people anymore.
I am a writer. That is my passion in life. I love poetry and to write in diaries and shit. But I have a niche for journalism. I am the assistant state & national editor at The Daily Tar Heel, one of the best college newspapers in the country. I love it and I spend my life there. But I couldn't imaging college without it
Any one of my friends will tell you: I'm insane. I am a fun-loving, hilarious girl who wants nothing but to have a good time. I'm very social and I get along with everyone well. I'm a lover, not a fighter. But, at the same time, I am very picky with my friends. I only keep the people I love and trust near me because it is so hard to earn my love and trust....that's right, EARN! I am all about giving and receiving....it's always 50/50...you have to meet me halfway. but those are just my very best friends. i truly love everyone!
