FRUIT SALAD
Fruit Salad
  • 1 small pkg. vanilla pudding -- NOT INSTANT
  • 1 - 20 oz. can Pineapple Chunks (or Tidbits)
  • 1 - 16 oz. can Fruit Cocktail
  • 1 small can Mandarin Orange slices
  • 2 bananas, sliced
  • 1 small jar Marachino Cherries
  • 1 1/2 cups Orange/Pineapple Juice (or Orange Juice)

Add juice to pudding mix. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture becomes a glaze. You will see it start to change and thicken. Once it is a glaze, remove it from heat and let it cool a bit.

Drain the cans of fruit, and toss the fruit into a large bowl. Slice the bananas and add them to the bowl.

Pour the glaze over the fruit, and serve now or refrigerate for later.

This can be made a day ahead; the bananas will not turn black.
