MACARONI AND CHEESE Awesome recipe ~ this WILL go fast! Tonight I added fresh slices of tomato to the top. Not standard, but delicious. If you want to make it this way, pick up some tomatoes (not on the ingredient list). |

Boil water -- cook noodles according to package directions. Open can of cheese soup and pour into large bowl. Fill empty soup can 1/2 full of water. Slowly stir into cheese soup until blended. Cube the ham and stir into the soup mixture. Add dashes of garlic powder to cheese soup -- I would estimate this at 1 tsp. When noodles are done, drain them and stir them into the cheese soup mixture. Grease a large casserole dish; pour 1/2 of cheesy noodles into dish. Top with 1/2 of the shredded cheese. Top with remaining noodles, and final layer of shredded cheese. May sprinkle with salt, pepper and paprika to taste. Remember, if you like the sliced tomatoes, you can slice them thin and add them just before the meal is ready to serve. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. If you like it crisper on top, broil for a minute or so before serving. |
