CROCK POT SPICY WINE POT ROAST
Crock Pot Spicy Wine Pot Roast
  • 3 to 4-lb. beef pot roast
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 (3/4 oz) package brown gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup catsup
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 2 tsp. mustard
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder

Place sliced/peeled potatoes in bottom of crock pot. Top with roast. Salt and pepper roast to your liking.

Create sauce by combining remaining ingredients; pour over roast.

Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.

When cooking time is done, remove roast and potatoes from crock pot. Strain the sauce into a saucepan, thicken with cornstarch, bring to a boil, then let simmer. Drizzle thickened gravy over meat and potatoes.
