Notes: This was originally written for a two-minute challenge on Flamika's livejournal. The prompt was the word "Fake". I cleaned it up a bit but this is what I came up with in two minutes.
Summary: Mirage can no longer fool herself.

Mirage knew she was just spinning her wheels. There was no way Syndrome was sincere when he told her he cared for her. If he had truly cared would he have risked her life? No matter how she looked at it, he gambled her life just to get over on his nemesis. Mr. Incredible was a genuinely kind person who cared for his family.

Mirage made her decision even if Syndrome killed her she would help Mr. Incredible escape. She was through kidding herself. She didn't want conquest or power. She just wanted a life, an honest life for once.
