The author, using the nom de guerre, Will S. takes us through a maze of human sexuality (or at least some of his own), science, Alcoholics Anonymous, philosophy, judo, religion, economics, motorcycling, and arguments with his friends.

He draws on lyrics from the music of Jackson Browne, Lennon and McCartney, Bob Dylan, Roger Waters, and Leonard Cohen, while calling on poets, scientists and philosophers from Socrates to Jacob Bronowski.

He is happily married, has two children old enough to know better, and one that is not. Somewhat surprisingly, at least to him, his friends still love and accept him.
