The 12th Annual Connecticut Star Party
September 6th - 8th, 2002
Twelfth annual, & I only found out about it by accident! If I wasn't trying to find my high school astronomy teacher, Allen Sacharow, I would never have known about this. What a great time I had. Met some great people, learned a lot about telescopes, saw some great objects, & by dumb luck, saw the Aurora Borealis for the first timein my life!
Got there by the skin of my teeth it seemed! To think I almost missed this!
By far the most dramatic thing I caught with my camera that weekend, the Northern Lights wowed everyone there when they made a surprise appearance. Click the image!
Here's a handful of selected daytime shots. Anyone who appears or whose equipment appears in these images are free to copy them :-)
