In this tradition, dating back several years, the Trumpet section has shown its spirit by having Theme Days on a Friday before a game. Here is a list of some of the favorite themes which have been used in recent years.
Katie Day:
Every trumpet wore a scarf to band in order to "show respect" for Katie Mathy, a drum major.
Charlie Day:
Every trumpet wore nothing but black so we all looked like Charlie Smith.
Name-it Day:
We all named our "best friends" and wore large name tags. Some of the names were: Dribble, Tito the 12lbs Ox, Biff Wiggles, and Smacks.
