I have recently noticed that a lot of cadets have been leaving messages, for each other on the website guest book.  This is a good thing as you are using the web as another form of communication.

 

Unfortunately the guest book is visitors to comment on our site.  With this in mind i've put together a mailing list for cadets and staff at our unit to use as they wish.  I've sent this mail to each individual that I have mail addresses for, your address has been added to the coollist and you will receive an invite soon, you must accept the invite to become a part of the list.

 

The address is tspellew@coollist.com anyone can send mail to it but only people who i've added to it can receive mail.  A list of cadets and staff (some ex) will be kept in the next column down and will be updated weekly

 

Some people see these lists as a pain as if you're a part of it you receive every single e-mail that is sent.  If I've put you on and you want taking off, e-mail me kensa74@robbins33.freeserve.co.uk.

 

The list can be used for the following purposes.

* announcing our results in competitions

* announcing promotions and qualifications that cadets have got

* giving stories of your time on courses.

* announcements on forthcoming events with the unit

* questions to each other on all sea cadet subjects

* distributing the training programme

* distributing pellew news

* General chit chat and banter with each other - THIS LAST SUBJECT WILL BE SHORT TERM ONLY, I WILL BE SETTING UP A CHAT FORUM FOR ALL CADETS AND STAFF TO LEAVE MESSAGES FOR EACH OTHER. BE VERY CAREFULL OF YOUR CONDUCT ON THIS LAST SUBJECT AS MEMBERS OF STAF ARE ALSO ON THE LIST.

 

If you see a message on the coollist and have friends at the unit who are not on the net please spread the word to help keep communications up.

  

If you know of any other members of our unit who want to be included get them to e-mail me.

 

Final warning - if you click reply to a message sent on the coollist it will be sent to everyone, if you want to reply to an individual you must type their e-mail address only.
