It all started quite innocently, James and I headed down into the pit- and that alone usually leads to trouble... Anyways, it was about 6:00 PM, and approxamately, 25 degrees, the sun was going down, and we figured that one little run down the pit wouldn't hurt us, we'd be there maybe ten minutes. Well, it didnt go like that, and at the end of the pit road, where it branches off to head into the 'pit' was a small snowbank, and guess what; we high centered on that and the Kelleys clawed until the suspension flexed out. So, like always, we walked the two tenths mile to Trevors and chit chatted before we left, we were coming back the next day. Sunday moring was warm, 35-40 degrees, and the sun was shining and the snow was getting sticky. Trevor James and I Dug that bank out from under the jeep and managed to get it going down hill. we packed down a run pointing us back up hill, and started going after it. An hour and a half, and the 33-9.50s wern't getting much of any flotation, and any wheelspin would cause the jeep to sink. It was ten AM by this time, and time to go to work. We work short days on Sundays and were back to the Jeep by 4 PM. We aired the tires down to 4 PSI all around, and drove out. in one run, in five minutes. They never beleived it would make such a difference. After that we bank crawled on the snowbanks for an hour. these are some pictures that came out. |
