Catholics are Christians, contrary to what some have been told. Catholicism was founded by Jesus Christ. After Jesus was crucified and Resurrected, he appointed his Apostle Peter to start the Catholic Church. Jesus said to Peter, “You are the Rock and on this rock I will build my church, and the jaws of death shall not prevail against it.”

Protestants have tried to twist this saying of Jesus into different meanings trying to diminish the role Jesus appointed to Peter. A huge setback to Protestants is their Church wasn’t founded until 1,500 years after Christ by a murderer named Martin Luther.

A big belief in the Catholic Church is our souls are saved by Faith in Jesus and Works. (Doing good deeds.) Protestants believe only in Faith, not works.

There are numerous trump cards the Catholic Church has supporting its gigantic claims.

1. Their Holy Sacraments, such as Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance, etc. can be traced back to close to and to Jesus time. These facts are testified by ancient writings we have by the Church Fathers, who were taught by Peter himself, who passed down the traditions and rules to live by. The Church Fathers writings reveal the truth and claims of the Catholic Church, but most people nowadays have no clue about them because few Protestants or Atheists want you to know about them. Once their writings are read, the truth of the Catholic Church is revealed and all of its claims backed up.

2. Church Fathers. These men lived from Jesus time to the 9^th Century. They testified in their writings the practice and traditions of the Catholic Church. If not for them, the Bible would stand alone as the only proof of Jesus and his teachings, although the Bible is a marvelous book, for some lacking faith, it isn’t enough.

3. The Shroud of Turin- This burial cloth is in possession of the Catholic Church. In my opinion, this is the evidence 1A that Jesus existed and resurrected. This cloth, and you should look up it’s picture on the internet, has the body imprint and physical characteristics of Jesus himself! You won’t hear much about it because a bunch of Atheist scientists studied it 20 years ago and claimed it was a fraud, even though they to this day have no idea how it was made. As of 2006, their politics and dubious scientific studies were proved a fraud and a sham. The Shroud of Turin stands strong and the true scientific evidence points to it being woven in the 1^st century! The evidence supporting its authenticity is overwhelming. The Shroud is truly an out of this world relic, which we are lucky to have in our possession 2,000 years later!

4. Apparitions of Mary - Mary, Jesus mother, has been spotted, photographed, and provided miracles throughout time to people around the world. Even in the 20^th century! Her 2 most famous appearances were in the early 1900’s in Fatima. She appeared to tens of thousands of people and made the sun dance around the sky and provided three small children with prophecies of the future and they have all come true. Another of her apparitions later in the century would provide the world with a famous photograph of her! The liberal news won’t tell you about it, though. Definitely check out her story on the internet. Many Protestants realize this is damaging to their religion, and try to work her appearances off as the work of the Devil. Atheists rarely if ever speak of it, but if they do they would attack the source, which is their only tactic when attacking the validity of religion, because the evidence is never on their side.

5. The Catholic Church - Jesus said the even Hell wouldn’t prevail against his Church, and 2,000 years later it still stands strong with over 1 billion Catholics worldwide!

6 - The Bible - This book assembled between 10 (depends who you ask) or 30 years after Christ to it’s final book written in the second century. An amazing book inspired by God himself. (sorry I said himself not herself to the liberal feminists out there, but God is a he.) The Old Testament of the Bible was written with some of it’s books over a thousand years older than Jesus Christ himself. This book is filled with many prophecies which have come true and stories of history, with commandments to live by. It even predicts things in our time and it was written 2,000 years ago. Don’t believe me, pick up a bible and start reading the New Testament, especially the other books besides the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John)

Catholics depend on the Church and the written word to guide them in life, Protestants depend on the Bible alone, and Atheists depend on themselves and whatever their heart desires…Gimme Gimme Gimme and Me Me Me.
