T.R. Vishnu Arun Kumar received the Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering
from the Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai,India (affiliated to Anna University), in 2002.
He joined Cognizant Technology Solutions Pvt Ltd.,Chennai, India, as Programmer Analyst in August 2002.
In July 2003 he took up the post of Application Engineer in Oracle India Pvt Ltd., Hyderabad, India.
He was responsible for software development and maintenance of Accounts Receivables Module
in Oracle 11i Financials ERP Application.
In January 2005, he started his research career as a PhD student under the guidance of Dr.Rob Richardson
in the Robotics Group at the Department of Computer Science, University of Manchester ,UK.
His thesis involves tether management techniques for autonomous mobile robots. His current research interests
include Urban search and rescue robots, Robot Motion Planning, Multi-Hypothesis Tracking, Network
Load Balancing and application of Genetic Algorithms on Combinatorial Optimization problems.
He is currently working as an Oracle Expert in European Commission-EUROSTAT in Luxembourg.
