Paloma's new apartment: Paloma told her mom tht she
prefered to die than face the Sanchez Sambrano family
who killed her soul, she had given up and wanted to die
so tht they will leave happily.
Night
Hacienda. Harold and Daniela arrived. Aurelio almost
didn't recognise Daniela. Aurelio seen her last when
she was very little. aurelio asked if Harold was her
husband. Daniela asked "where's the body?" she meant
her brother. Diego lit up a little when he heard his
sister's voice. Daniela said she loved funeral and will
always support him. Harold didn't miss to offer his
condolense to Diego who had just died. heh. Daniela
told Harold to follow Aurelio and choose his bedroom.
Harold said she didn't have to be discreet, she can
just chase him away. Daniela smiled and kissed him.
Daniela said she tried to stop Paloma by calling the
office but she didn't answer. Diego said everything had
been arranged. Daniela told him tht Barbara and
Berenice had been investigating when Berenice suspect
Paloma was Elena. Diego asked how she got suspicious,
Daniela didn't know. He said now they were far from
each other, then he remembered, Jeremy was the other
one who knew who Paloma really was, it could also be
Latore who reveal the secret.
Dona Ines house: Angela told Dona Ines tht Latore went
to see Juan Francisco at the office. Barbara said it's
not good because Latore was close to Elena. Dona Ines
still think Latore as a god friend. Barbara said they
must becareful of wht they telling Latore, he might
reveal the truth to Diego if he found out anything coz
he was quite close to Diego. They want Dona Ines to
work with them to keep wht Fabian did as a secret. They
must avoid Diego from being together with Paloma.
Paloma's new apartment: Paloma was dreaming and talking
in her sleep.. she was saying 17th october, in a year
they will meet, she called out Diego's name a few
times, she was sweating. Soledad was worried of her child.
Hacienda: Diego told Daniela how he was obsessing on
Paloma. Daniel asked if he believe wht their family
told him? tht Paloma was a prostitute. Daniela said
they dont' even have evidence showing tht Paloma took
the money. Diego told her tht Paloma told him tht no
one touched her with she was away. Since he went to the
city and joined El Cafetalero, he knew very well tht
many men had eyes on her and her christmas tree was
full of gifts. Daniela said there nothing easy in this
world than ruining a nice woman's life. She didn't
understand why he swallowed wht Fabian had said. He
can't trust his enemies. Diego said Fabian might be
evil but he's family and he had been protecting Paloma.
Daniela said Fabian had his own interest on Paloma and
it wasn't anything like wht Diego was feeling towards
Paloma. She wanted him to think it over, she wont' even
think Fabian would tell the truth if the was holding a
bible in his hands. Diego said Fabian admitted tht he
had slept with Paloma. Everyone knew tht women who
became Fabian's secretary would always sleep with
Fabian, the story fits pretty well and she climbed the
career ladder very fast. Daniela said tht was fate, she
was lucky. Diego said Paloma never denied it and she
didn't even came looking for him. He wanted to know why
Paloma ran away. Wht hurt him most was the past, the
place, the words they said, their hugs and kisses. He
felt stupid. Daniela asked if he only loved Paloma for
a night. He said no, because paloma was the one who
stopped loving him.
Miami: Fabian's PR was outlining his appointment for
the rest of his time in Miami and New York. Marcia was
helping him arranged the itinerary and Fabian found it
awkward tht she was doing all these. He didnt want her
to come with him to New York because it was a business
trip. He said he wanted her as his wife, not as his
business associate. She apologized. She didn't mean to
be a jealous wife, she just wanted to be with him. But
she agreed tht she might only be in his way. He thanked
her for understanding and gave her a kiss.
Hacienda: Diego was drunk and Daniela help carried him
to his room. Daniela said he need to sleep so tht
tomorrow he can wake up and drink more tequila and chat
some more. She help pulled out his boots. He asked how
long will she be there, she said until he became alive
again. Diego appreciated it coz he won't be alone
there. Daniela left. He turned on his side and later
get off the bed to change his shirt.
Daniela went to Harold who was looking at the family
album, she showed him her grandpa. She wanted him to
join her see the stars but Harold wanted her to call
'abuela ines' and asked how was she doing. Aurelio came
and Daniela told him tht Diego was already in his bed.
harold still insisted tht they call Dona Ines.
Diego's room: Diego pulled out his coat and remembered
tht night he went to see the opera show, Paloma was
sleeping on his shoulder when he was wearing tht coat.
He ripped it off and threw it away. THen he took the
white handkerchief he found in Paloma's office, he
inhaled the aroma and closed his eyes. He put the
little piece into his pocket. The he picked up the
watch tht she returned to him. He put it into his shirt
pocket. And later her walked to the door.
on the phone: Daniela told Dona Ines tht Diego was so
sad, but now he's already in bed. (on the background
Diego was sneaking out.) Harold asked Dona Ines to
guess where was he sleeping to night? he'll be about
200 metres away from Daniela, he told Dona Ines not to
worry. Daniela smiled and laughed.
Outside: Diego went to Paloma's cabin and kicked open
the door. He began to trash the place. The gather some
stuff in the centre of the cabin and started pouring
gasoline on them.
Dona Ines house: Dona Ines said she was glad tht he saw
the family album and already seen grandpa's pic. LOL!
Dona Ines begged him to give the phone to Daniela. She
begged again and again and finally get to talk to Daniela.
Paloma's cabin: Diego lit up a match and threw it to
the stuff he gathered. With the fire blaring high, he
remembered his times with Paloma and started to cry.
The fire was getting bigger and one of the worker ran
to Aurelio and told him tht Diego burnt up a cabin.
Harold and Daniela heard tht and went to see wht happen.
Outside: Many men ran to the cabin. Diego told them to
let the fire burn. Daniela told them to let Deigo do
tht. Aurelio told the man to dig around the cabin to
avoid the fire from spreading. Daniela hugged him, they
both watch the fire consumed the cabin. He pulled out
Paloma's cassette and held in in his hands.
Paloma new apartment: Paloma was remembering the day
Diego came to see her after she returned from Europe.
She said her feelings for him still going strong.
Diego was remembering the same, and he threw the
cassette into the fire.
paloma was talking in her sleep saying no. Soeldad went
to her daughter and held her hand.
Paloma was dreaming the first time they met in
Manzanilo when she was writing his name on the sand.
Diego dug into his jacket and pulled out the
handkercheif, he smelled it and later put the watch
into the hanckercheif, then he threw them into the
fire. He was still crying.
Paloma told her mom to keep her awake coz she didn't
want to fall alseep and dream. Soledad put some wet
towels on her forehead.
The fire subsided. Diego stood not far from the
remains, looking away. Daniela asked if he felt better,
he said no, he felt worse, as if someone had died, he
cried and hugged her sister.
Morning.
Hacienda: Aurelio accept a call from Dona Ines. She
asked if everyone was sleeping well, Aurelio said yes,
but kDona Ines sensed hesitation in his voice, she
asked wht really happened and demanded him to tell her
the truth. Aurelio said Diego went crazy last night and
burnt up one of the worker's cabin. She asked why, he
didn't know, but it was a cabin tht Paloma used to
stay. Aurelio said he wnted to put out the fire but
Daniela stopped him. Dona Ines rolled her eyes. Aurelio
said he didn't want Dona Ines to tell Diego anything
coz he'll be mad if he knew Aurelio told Dona Ines.
Dona Ines thanked him and told him to tell her if
anything went wrong. Dona Ines told Diana wht happened.
Paloma's new apartment: Paloma woke up the next morning
and the doctor was checking on her. Soledad told the
doctor all the symptoms tht Paloma had. The doctor said
tht she might had an infection, Soledad asked if she ws
pregnant. The doctor can't verify tht. He said hell
give medication to lessen her pain but they had to go
to a narby clinic to verify if she was pregnant, he
said Paloma had a fight with her boyfriend so she might
be suffereing from somatic depression. A depression
caused by love, Paloma called it absurd.
Hacienda: Diego said love made him stupid and kille
dhis life. Harold and Daniela was listening to him
attentively. Diego asked why Paloma entered his life
and changed it. He spent lots of money searching for
her, he had been in the hacienda and refused to work
anywhere else, he destroyed his marriage and wht he did
last night had always been in his mind for a long time.
But now it's all useless. This is the effect of love.
Love is a threat to society. Harold praised his words
and said he was worshipping love. Diego said it was
truly stupid, he excused himself coz he wanted to go
and strangle Jeremy. Harold told Daniela to stop
worrying coz he believed tht Diego won't do anything
like tht.
Berneice's apartment: Berneice's maid was cleaning the
living room. Berneice's mom called her and told her tht
her dad was in trouble and she must help him, she
wanted her to return as soon as possible. She tried to
talk softly so tht the maid won't hear anything.
Miami: Barbara called Fabian in Miami. Marcia was
helping Fabian with his necktie. Barbara asked Dolores
(the maid) if there was any woman there with Fabian.
Dolores didn't answer her and quickly signalled for
Fabian to take the call. Fabian greeted Barbara and
asked how was she doing. She said she was fine and told
him tht Diego was alone at the Hacienda. She asked how
was everything going on on his side of the world.
Fabian said Sanders had arrange a tight schedule for
him in New York. He didn't yet got the keys of their
apartment in Central Park so he'll be staying a hotel
reserved by Sanders, he wasn't sure which hotel yet.
Barbara suspected Fabian deliberately didn't want her
to know, she was consumed by jealousy and asked who
would be joining him in New York. He told her tht he'll
be meeting a group of bankers. Barbara told him to stop
playing around he knew very well wht she meant. She got
suspicious when she heard the way Dolores answered the
phone. Both Barbara and Fabian hang up angrily. Marcia
told Fabian to be patient coz soon his suffering will be over.
Fabian/Barbara's house: Barbara told herself tht she's losing.
Outside: Diego found Jeremy and started accusing tht he
betrayed their friendship. He said how could Jeremy
told Paloma. Jeremy said he would never do something
like tht. Diego was angry and started to shake him.
Jeremy pushed away his hands and said he resigned.
El Cafetalero: Rafael asked if Juan Francisco wanted to
cancel Elena's and Diego's suggestion on the course to
train their own coffee tasters. Juan Francisco wanted
to go on with the great idea. Later Angela came and met
her husband she was waiting for Barbara coz they need
to make some phone calls. Later she left. Juan
Francisco smiled and parised his wife's beauty. Later
he told Rafael tht he wanted to talk about the coffee
tasters course. Rafael seemed uncomfortable with the topic.
Barbara was in a shop selling baby stuff. She cried and
ran away.
Paloma's new apartment: Soledad entered with the result
of her prenancy test. Paloma hesitated before opening
the paper. She finally read it and said Soledad won't
become a grandma. Soledad thanked God but she thought
having a baby won't be a bad thing. Soledad compared
wht happening to Paloma with a telenovela heroin who
was pregnant with a rich guy's son, her son later
became the sole heir of the rich guy's wealth. Paloma
stopped her from contiuing and said she wasn't pregnant
and if she's pregnant, Snchez Sambrano family will be
the last to know, she won't let wht happen to her 2
years ago happened again. Soledad asked if she were
pregnant, would she give birth to the baby? Paloma said
yes, even though the baby belong to her enemy.

Paloma's apartment: Paloma told Soledad tht if she were
pregnant, she would still care for the baby eventhough
it's Diego's blood. Tht baby would remind her of Diego
everyday. Soledad asked if Diego would know about it?
Paloma said no, she wasn't going to tell her child tht
was the dad who refused to accept his own child. She
would never tell anything about tht child to Diego. She
said she had to go on with her life. Soledad kissed her
hand and hugged her.
Dona Ines' house: Latore came to meet Dona Ines. Ines
greeted him and told him wht Diego had done last night.
She clearly told Latore not to involve in the family
personal life, he was only the family's lawyer, nothing
more than tht. She didn't want Diego to do anyting bad
anymore. She suspected Latore helped Diego to run away
with Elena. Ines said lucky they lifted the woman's
curse from Diego and hope Latore can help Diego for
better. Latore believed Diego hadn't hear the truth and
he believe the who family was told the twisted version.
Dona Ines didn't want to discuss about Elena, she's
just worried about Diego. Wht happened had hurt her.
She clearly said it again tht Latore shouldn't involve
in the family problem again or else, she'll terminat
his service as the family's lawyer.
Paloma's apartment: Soledad was looking through the
papers for sutitable job for Paloma. Paloma asked if
she changed her hobby from watching tv to reading
papers? She didn't like her mom doing tht. Soledad
didn't want them to just wait until their savings
cleared. She warned her to keep away from any business
tht had to do with coffee.
Dona Ines house: Miguel arrived and Latore excused
himself. Ines apologized for being rude earlier. They
kissed goodbye and on the way out Latore greeted MIguel
and left. Miguel told Diana tht he wanted to bring her
to an openning of a gallery. Diana apologized coz she
need to go to the hacienda to see Diego. Miguel
suggested tht both of themshould go. Dona Ines said she
contacted Don Juan, Lorenzo's friend who promised to
pick them up at the airport. Miguel asked to join them
to go to the hacienda. Ines seemed surprised and glad
tht she decided to go.
El Cafetalero: Angela was making calls again to spread
lies about Elena and make sure no one will take her as
an employee.Barbara had just arrived, she said she was
late bcoz she went shopping. She had all the numbers
except the Coffee Council number. Barbara said they
didnt have to go tht far. She said Elena woulnd dare to
g eand meet Roberto. Angela was leaving coz she had an
appointment. Angela asked if Fabian called. Barbara
said yes bu Angel noticed tht Barbrara wasn't feeling
good about Fabian. Barbra wondered if fa ian still
loved her. Angela smiled and said of course. Later she left.
receptionist table: On the way out, Angela greeted
Margarita. Later atore alled Margarita and asked if
Elena called or came t o meet her. Margarati said no.
Latore said if Elena called, she must tell her tht he
need to speak to her and it's important.
Paloma's apartment: Paloma laughed looking at the stuff
her mom marked in the paper. She notice a tekxtile
company who need an executive who knew many languages.
Soledad said she had no experience in textile. Paloma
said she can learn fast and soon, thye will have lots
of money, buy new car , get a new house.. Paloma wanted
to continue with the list but her mom cut in saying
they will have more debts, she didn't understand her
daughter. Paloma complained tht Soledad complained a
lot. Soledad asked if she's going to call and ask about
Diego. Paloma said she didnt care. Soledad said she had
nothing to los f she called and ask. Paloma told her to
stop talking.
Hacienda: Dona Ines was greeted by Daniela and Harold
who enjoy kissing her cheek. Daniela was asking about
the journey but Harold kept huging her and kissing her.
Dona Ines told him to go away and he went to hug miguel
but later he came to hugging Dona Ines again who was
keep pushinghim away. Daniela asked Ines if she's sure
Jeremy was the one who reveal the secret coz Diego went
to attack Jeremy. Daniela thanked her for coming in
between Diego and Paloma. Diego had become worst than ever.
Diana introduced Aurelio to Miguel. Miegul didn't like
him and surprised tht he was treated like part of the family.
Don Manuel's hacienda: Jeremy was said course the
coffee tasters course had to stop, he had to quit and
the tobacco plantation will be his last. Matilde said
from now on he didn't have to work. She kissed him and left.
Hacienda Casablanca: Miguel loved the big hacienda.
Dona Ines told Daniela to quit cheering with stupid
things tht Diego did. Harold said they like seeing
Diego destroyoing ghosts around him and make them
explode in the fire. Daniela said she will help /diego
but with one condition, they must tell the truth. Dona
Ines asked wht truth? Daniela said th only story they
knew was Fabian's version whom they knew very well at
twisting stories and Barbara always trying to raised
doubts about Paloma/Diego relationship because Paloma
was the only who can be pregnant with Diego's baby coz
she was once pregnant with his child. Ines said tht wht
Paloma said but they dont' have prove of tht. Dona Ines
asked does she remembered wht kind of woman are tyey
talking about. Later Diego came looking very sad and
souless. He greeted Dona Ines and peked her on the
cheek. He asked why everyone was there. Diego asked if
they came to bring him back to the city or save his
marriage. Diana aked wht marriage? Berenice didn't even

be quiet. Mieguel clm her down an Dona Ines brought

Berenice/Diego's apartment: Berenice returned and her
mom told her tht her dad was in jail because he was t
believed tht Diego would help him so he wrote cheques
with future dates to settle his debts but later he
failed and his friends turned against him and turn him
to the police. Diego was he only one who can hlp her
dad now.
Paloma's apartment: Paloma was looking for something in
the cabinet, she jumped when her mom asked wht was she
looking for (i guessed tht she might be looking for a
bottle of tequila). She struck a cool pose at the
little cabinet and said she was just checking the
pantry. Soledad was dumbfounded, she said the pantry is
in the kitchen. Paloma said she thought her mom kept
the soap in there. Soledad reminded her tht they have
nothing now. She wanted to go and buy her some
medicine. Paloma said the best medicine would be
tequila tht will heal the pain in her soul. Soledad
said she had to bear the pain coz tomorrow she'll get a
job. She left.
Paloma picked up the phone and dialed a number, she
asked for a cab.
Hacienda Casablanca: Diego asked how tht Dona Ines knew
tht Paloma was Elena. Dona Ines said tht wasn't
important. Diego wanted to know who work with Dona ines
and used a dirty way to reveal him. Dona Ines said
Diego was the one who playeddirty. He turned down the
honor to replace his grandpa and wanted to ran away
with tht woman and betrayed his wife. dona Ines said
Diego didn't have the rights to question her or the family.
Dona ines asked if he's still interested in returning
to Berneice and save his mariage.
Diego/Berenice's apartment: Berenice said she wasn't
interested in returning to Diego, she didn't like her
mom being in jail but she can't return to Diego.
Hacienda Casablanca: Dona Ines wanted to tell her a
story about her experience as a wife for 50yrs tht
can't just go to wast. Love is more than a word, it's a
suffering. Diego agreed ont he suffering part.
Pedro: Paloma went to Pedro to get her dos of tequila.
The man at the counter asked if her pain was gone, she
sid no, but she learnt one thing tht tequila can make
her feel better but the aftermath would be quite a
burden to bear. She said tthere's no cure for those who
failed in love.
Hacienda Casablanca: Dona Ines said love can't be
perfect, it must be built based on experience and on
one is bullet proof from love. Diego said tht wasn't
anything the same as his marriage. Ines said she had to
make Berenice understand.
Berenice/Diego's apartment: Berneice said she'd never
forgive Diego. She understood heim and waited for him
and reamt about having her baby but he will never
change for he and lied to her all the time. She told
her mom tht Diego decided to stay in the city because
of a woman, another woman tht he loved.
Hacienda Casablanca: Dona Ines understood wht Berenice
was feeling when she found her husband in love with
somene else. She understood it very well coz long time
ago there was tht kind of problem between her and Don
Lorenzo. There were rumours saying tht he was having an
affair with a coffee worker but Don Lorezo kept denying
tht. The rumours were getting stronger, like wind and
they would have to return each october and Dona Lorenzo
always walk through the plantation and returned very
late at night. Some people said he went looking for tht
worker and spent some time with her. Diego liked the
story and asked if she found tht woman? Dona Ines said
never. She can't just run to the plantation asking for
tht woman, tht's not her way. She always take care of
her status. She never asked anyone about tht woman, or
her name. Tht's not a good way to care for your
husband. For her, if Lorenzo go looking for another
woman, tht meant it was her fault who wasn't good
enough for her husband, she'll do her best to change for
better. Since tht time, she was the only woman in Don
lorenzo's life. When they return again to Mexico city,
Don orenzo didnt' talk about it anymore. and his

october they return to the hacienda and she heard

gone. Diego was surprised tht woman sang too. Dona Ines
admitted tht she knew the song. Diego said she was
exactly like Paloma. Dona Ines agreed and said the
wierd thing is, Don Lorenzo still walk through the
plantation eventhough the woman was gone. Dona Ines
said the point of the story is, no matter wht happen,
she didn't lose don Lorenzo. Him and Berenice were at
the fist stage of the test and they will return
together soon. Diego thanked her for telling him the
story. But there's no way he's going to return to
Berenice, he ruined her trust and love, he lied to her.
Why should he return to her when he ha d no feelings
for her. She's just like a friend to him.
Diego/Berenice's apartment: Berenice's mother said it's
important for her to stay with Diego especially for all
the wealth he had. Berenice said she can't just go
looking for him and begged his forgiveness and agreed
to stay with him with this hell. Seh can't go thourh it
anymore. She said may be Diego didn't want to live with
her anymore.
Hacienda Casablanca: Dona Ines sat close to Diego.
Diego said tht he didn't want to live with Berneice
anymore, he won't apologize coz tht will hurt her even
more. Dona Ines told him to think it over, he'll lose a
very good woman. He agreed tht Berenice was a good
woman but Paloma's curse is something he'll carry to
his grave, no matter wht happen, he's always love
Paloma, He cried in his grandma's arms.
Pedro: Paloma heard her song again. She went to the
juke box and touched the juke box, she sang together
with the voice in there.
Berenice/Diego's apartment: Berenice was drinking. Her
mom was on the phone asking about her husbnand, if he
was eating well, sleeping well. She told Berenice tht
they can't even meet him. She was too worried. He was
old and had lots of problem. Berneice said maybe her
dad's lawyer can discuss this with Diego's lawyer, she
will try to handle this.
Hacienda: Daniela went looking for Diego, she said she
didn't want to aske wthe siscussed with Dona Ines. She
asked about Jeremy. He said Jeremy quit. Daniela swore
tht she wasn't the one who break the secret. Dieog
began to suspect Latore. Diego said they should
announce to everyone tht she'll stay at th e hacienda
forever. She hugged him. She apologized tht she had to
leave tomorrow. She'll find out the secrets behind the stories.
Dona Ines came to see Diana but caught her kissing with
Miguel. Miguel excused himself and dona Ines told Diana
tht DIego didn't want to return to the city or to
Berenice. She belive tht they were just interupting hs
life. He was still in love with Paloma an dhope they
can keep Paloma away from Diego (she begged god
forgivenss for doing tht).She said Latore was in favour
was in favour of elena and now she doubted Fabian's
story. Latore told her tht among the exporters, Elena
Olivares wasn't a bad name like Fabian claimed. She
made everyone respected her. The story made Dona Ines
confused and believe everything was made up by Fabian,
instead of helping Diego, they might have destroyed him.
Diana said she knew tht Dona Ines was worried, but she
believe tht Paloma did go to Europe to become a
prostitute. and later use a fake identity to work in el
Cafetalero and destroyed Diego's marriage. A woman like
that lost her dignity long ago. Dona Ines said tht was
exactly wht she kept telling herself but now she
doubted tht. Diana said Dona Ines must belive wht her
heart had been teling her earlier, imagine the danger
they'll have if Diego found out tht Fabian was the one
plan the whole thing. Dona Ines didn't want to think of
it anymore. Diana said if tht so, they can just let
this problem take its course. Dona Ines seemed worried
and said lying is not the moral of this family. Diana
told her not to worry.
Pedro: Paloma was still singging while leaning to the juke box.
Hacienda: Diego went to the window and leaned forward.
He asked "How can I forgive you?" (the song was on the background)
Pedro: Paloma was still singing and really into the song.
Hacienda: Diego straightened up and closed the window.
Diego/Berenice's apartment: Berenice was alone in the dark, crying.
Pedro: Paloma was at the chorus, singing whole-heartedly.

Paloma's apartment: Soledad told Paloma to stop
sleeping and wake up. She knew tht Paloma was sad, and
asked where did she go. She wanted Paloma to listen to
her and go and take a bath so tht she can go and search
for a job. Paloma deliberately move slowly.
Hacienda CAsablanca: Harold interested in living in the
hacienda, he's willing to work thre. Dona Ines was
surprised tht Diego wanted Daniela to stay there with
Harold. Daniela tried to calm her down and said they
were just joking.
Aurelio came to tell them tht their van was ready.
Miegul wanted to stay there for alonger time so tht he
can visit the whole area of the hacienda. Daniela drag
Harold to follow her so tht they can accompany Diana
and Miegul to visit the place.
Dona Ines told Aurelio to watch the boys and girls
closely so tht they won't do anything naughty. Aurelio
told her tht Diego had just returned after being away
the whole night.
Diego was in his office. Dona Ines came to see him. She
said she can't go home in peace seeing him like tht.
She didn't want him to drink all day, tht's not a life.
She understood he loved tht woman but he can't live
like this. She said she didn't want to reveal the
secret to him but hope he's as strong as his
grandfather. She ddin't want love to consume him, it
would be a pitiful life. She walked away and left him.
Latore's office: Berenice came to visit Latore. Latore
thought she wanted to discuss about her separation with
Diego she said she's there because she didn't like
using lawyers but she need to reach to an agreement
fast. She wanted to know her rights because Diego left
her without a good excuse. Latore asked if she knew
they already started a procedure to call off the
wedding because they didn't live as a regular husband
and wife. She was surprised tht Diego had been
arranging the process for a long time and afraid tht
her rights will be withdrawn. Latore said diego wasn't
tht cruel. He'll give her a house, a car and monthly
cash. She said wasn't the one who wanted to marry him,
she's a respected and loyal wife, an apartment and a
car, monthly cash won't be enough. Latore asked wht she
want. She asked about the hacienda. Latore said Diego
owned the hacienda and it wasn't in their agreement.
She can only get wht ever they get after their
marriage, such as the house. She can olny get the
wealth if she got pregnant and the son reached an adult age.
Casablanca/factory: Aurelio explained to the visitors
(Harold, Daniela, Diana n Miguel) about stages of
coffee processing. He even brought them to the place
where coffee was processed. Miguel asked about the
profit. Aurelio said tht depend on the market and
competition with others product. Mieguel was realy
impressed. he never thought everything was this big.
Diana told him her grandpa began all these. They walked
away hand in hand. Diana said the hacienda only a small
part of the El Cafetalero. Mieguel wonder how big was
the plantation. Diana said the real owner woud be
Diego's sons.
outside: Diana said no one can opposed tht because it
was clearly stated in her grandpa's will. It would be
aproblem coz they were already getting divorce without
a child. Diana walked away first. Miguel said to
himself, 'Poor berenice.'
Berenice/Diego's apartment: Berenice had just reached
home. She received a call from her mom. She told her
tht Diego had already began a divorce process without
tellingher. She said she'll get whtever they bought
after their marriage and the hacienda wasn't part of
it, unles she had Diego's son. Her mom asked wht she
would do, Berenice didn't know.
Paloma's apartment: Paloma was preparing herself. She
sprayed some stuff on her head and Soledad was coughing
from it. Soeldad adore her beauty and reminded of a
heroin in a telenovela. She asked how she was looking.
Soledad said she was great and Soledad gave her
blessing before she left. Later they both started
praying. Paloma did it fast and started to leave.
Soledad reminded her tht she always in hurry and left
god. She told Paloma not to lie ever again. She
promised and kissed her mom goodbye.
Lock up: Berenice and her mom were at the lockup
visiting her father. Her mom went to hug him. Berenice
was sad looking at her father's condition. HE looked
weak. They were seated. Berenice asked why did he wrote
those cheques. He regretted it. His wife promised tht
he will be released soon. Berenice asked for the list
of his debtors so tht she can discuss with them. Her
father said he need a guarantor. He had to wait until
trial day and his sentence will be read. Berenice said
she can sell wht ever she had. Her father said tht will
only be enough to pay for the lawyer. Later the cop
came to tell them tht visiting hour had finished. her
father wanted more time but they had to leave. Berenice
cried and promise her dad tht she'll do anything to get
him out of there. Both of them started to cry.
Hacienda Casa blanca: Later everyone returned from
their little tour. Migeul told Dona Ines tht he was
impressed of the hacienda and kissed her hand, he
praised the hacienda over and over again saying it's
like a palace. Dona Ines told them to get their bags
ready coz they'll be leaving soon. Daniela mockingly
shove her hand to Harold and Harold took it and started
to kiss her hand (mocking Miguel's action), Daniela
wanted Harold to accompany her to her palace room. They
walked away and laughed. Diana and Miguel were stoned. LOL!
Later the phone rang, it was Berneice wanted to talk to
Diana. She said she wanted to talk to Diana because she
doubt tht diego wanted to talk to her. Diana asked to
be alone and later told Berenice to start talking.
Berenice said she just known tht they all went to the
hacienda. Diana told her tht Diego had a bad time and
drunk all the time. Berenice said maybe he was still
waiting for Paloma. Diana said there will be no Paloma
ever again and Dona Ines had made sure of tht. She
asked why did Berenice asked. She asked if Berenice
expect Diego to return to her? Berenice said no,
there's no chance for them. Diana asked her to guess
who decided to join her at the hacienda? Miguel.
Berenice wasn't surprised and later they hang up.
Diego/Berenice's apartment: Bernice told her mom tht
Diego didn't want to return to her, he didn't even want
to talk to her.
Hacienda: Diana told Dona Ines it was Berenice asking
about Diego. Diana wondered if they going to be
together again. Dona Ines was happy and hope they
wanted to forgive each other.
Interviewer office: Paloma was at her interview. The
interviewer asked if she worked in El Cafetalero. She
explained tht it was like a school for her and showed
him her experiences and language proficiencies. The
interviewer told her to write down her boss's phone
number for them to check out her references. The man
said he had to call them to confirm her experience. He
said they used to have candidates who faked the
information and it might bring trouble to them. Paloma
nodded in understanding.
She admitted tht she quit El Cafetalero. Tht man said
as long as she wasn't fired or never commit theft.
Paloma remembered tht once she was accused of stealing
Fabian's medal. The interviewer said or she had any
problems with the law. Paloma remembered Fabian
threatening to report her to the police. Paloma asked
if she can give Roberto's phone number, he was the
chairman of Coffee council. The man wanted Diego's
number. Paloma. She said she never thought they need
all tht, then she left. The man repeated Roberto's name.
El Cafetalero: Barbara called Roberto and told him how
Elena tried to seduce his husband and Diego. She said
all exporters must realise how bad Elena was. Roberto
promised to becareful but he still dind't believe tht
Ele was anything like tht. He thanked her for the infomation.
Paloma's apartment: Paloma returned while her mom was
busy watching tv. She asked how the interview went.
Paloma said it was bad and she didn't think she can
find any other job because she felt tht Elena Olivared
didn't exist anymore and everybody's memory on Paloma
was much stronger than Elena.
Berenice/Diego's apartment: Berenice's mother wonder if
Diego going to change his mind. There's no other way
other than asking Diego's help. Berenice said thre's
one way but the risk is quite high, something tht she
thought she would never do.
Paloma's apartment: Soledad said se should just give
the number, they might not call at all. Paloma said
imagine if Graciela was the one who answered.She can't
use other names like her mom suggested. She had to
think everything over or else she will never work. She
can't just forget wht happen to her. She can only say
herself as Elena olivares who worked in a big company,
or she can say she's Teresa Suarez who was a
recptionist in a hotel or she can say she's Paloma who
worked as a coffee collector. Or she can say she had no
experience wht so ever. Later she realised tht she was
hungry. She sat by the table, her mind wonders.
Don Manuel Hacienda: Diego was with Don Manuel, having
tequila. Later Jeremy came, he was surprised to see
Diego there. He brought so documents to Don Manuel and
left but Diego called him back and apologized for being
harsh to him. JEremy said it's good for him to realise
the truth. Diego said his life had been destroyed by
Paloma and he can't lose a good friend now. They hugged.
room: Don Manuel kept away some money and Matilde saw him.
Jeremy wondered if Paloma was tht cruel. Diego was sad
because she didn't even call to tell him the real
story. Diego believe Latore was the one who tell them
everything. Later Don Manuel came to join them. He
filled their glasses and said for those who suffered in love.
Dona Ines house: Dona Ines returned with Daniela and
Harold. The maid told her tht Latore was waiting for
her in the study. Later Diana and Miguel entered.
Harold excuse himself, he kissed Daniela and later went
to kiss Dona Ines. Later Miguel took Dona Ines hand and
kissed it. (sorang giler cium pipi sorang giler
ciumtangan, lemaih la orang tua tu LOL!)
Miguel promised Diana a great meal later for them.
study: Dona Ines told Latore tht Diego was much better
this morning, and he went out early. Latore said maybe
tht's why he didn't return his call. He told her tht
Berenice came to her office to discuss the divorce.
Ines said Berenice is wierd coz earlier she called the
hacienda asking about Diego. Latore said Berenice
believe tht she had the rights to claim half of the
hacienda. Dona Ines was surprised. he said Berenice
won't be satisfied with wht they had to offer. Dona
Ines was worried, the first problem didn't even settled
and now this new problem. Dona Ines said he must make a
decision and call her when Berenice came to meet him.
Latore excused himself and left.
On the way out he greeted Daniela. Daniela asked him
wht he did to Diego? She asked if he's the one who
reveal diego's secret. Latore didn't know about tht he
said he didn't even get to talk to diego, he wanted to
know wat really going on. Daniela asked wasn't you the
one who betrayed Diego? Latore said he didn't even know
tht Paloma was Elena, he swore it. He told Daneila to
come to his office tomorrow so tht they can discuss
this. Then he left in hurry.
Dona Ines asked who was Daniela talking to, Daniela
said it was the maid.
Paloma's apartment: Paloma read other ads looking for a
job, she read a job for a secrtary but she think they
can't live on a secretary's salary. Soledad said she
should start as secretary and can't just go looking for
a Manager position. Paloma wanted to find a job in
sales, she had to sell something. She didn't care wht
is it as long as she can sell something.
Clinic: Berenice went to see her doctor and asked if he
still keep her husband's sperms. She wanted to get

pregnant. Then she asked for the date but the doctor

Don Manuel's hacienda: Jeremy suggest tht Diego can go
back to el Cafetalero and manage the company coz the
harvesting season had ended and he got nothing to do
here. Diego wanted to do a commercial coffee buisness
with Jeremy. Don Manuel said the idea was great but the
competiton will be quite huge. Diego said they will act
as middle man. Dona Manuel said they should becareful
coz there's a lot of middle men who took advantage of
planters. Diego wanted to get the Veracruz market. He
told Jeremy to finish the coffee tasters course first
before they start this business. Don Manuel proposed a
toast for this new business. Diego said this is for his new life.
Miami: Fabian returned with Marcia. The maid told him
tht his lawyer called, it's about the divorce process,
and his wife also called. Fabian smiled bitterly at Marcia.
Don Manuel's hacienda: Don Manuel was very drunk and he
fell. Diego and Jeremy tried to help him but ended up
laughing at the way he fell. Matilde came looking wht
happen. Diego wanted to leave and thank Jeremy for
being his friend and face his bad attitude well. He
knew Matilde must want to be with Jeremy and he didn't
want to bother them. They both laughed. He told Jeremy
to take good care of Matilde and don't lose her. They
promised to meet again tomorrow. Then he left. Matilde
slapped and kicked Don Manuel Jeremy told her to calm
down. Matilde said it would be just the same if Don
Manuel sleep on the floor or in in bed. She's tired of
picking him up every night. Jeremy said they can't just
leave him, so they both carried him inside.
Miami: Fabian was told by Maldonaldo tht the notice
will arrive to Barbara in two days. He wondered if he
had to be there. Maldonaldo told him to quit worrying.
He belive the process will be pretty fast. Fabian
thanked him and hang up. Fabian told himself "It's over Barbara."
Miguel's apartment: Juan Carlos went to meet Miguel who
didn't seem happy at all. Juan Carlos wanted him out of
his apartment. He promised to stay there for a while
until he got a job and his own place but it had been 6
months and he still hadn't leave. He wanted Miguel to
leave tomorrow morning. Miguel tried to beg for more
time but Juan Carlos said he didn't asked tht as a
favour but it's an order. He wanted Miguel to take off
his shirt, his vest and his rolex and leave. Miguel
promised to pay for everything. Juan Carlos was angry
coz he had been spending his money and signed the
credit cards to pay for his meal in restaurants. Miguel
tried to beg but Juan Carlos ignored him and still
wanted him to leave. Miguel begged for another month.
He promised tht his life will change in one month. Juan
Carlos agreed to give him another month. He was leaving
but Miguel to borrow his car to take his girlfirend
out. He will still use his credit card but he will pay
tht all back soon. Miguel was thankful to Juan Carlos.
He was sweating when he walked out the door. At tht
time Berenice exited the elevator and invited him in
her house to talk about something. SHe warned him to
keep away from her and her family because she realise
tht he was trying to take advantage of Diana, she
wondered if he was trying to be friend with her
husband. Miguel said he will never befriend with a man
who's stupid enough to ignore his beautiful wife. He
was kissing her neck but Berenice warned him not to be
close to her family or to Diana. She asked if Miguel
loved Diana. He said no, his relationship with Diana
was just an illusion because he still love Berenice,
they kissed but later Berneice started yelling at him
telling him to find another women. Miguel said he can
bring her trouble if he tell everyone wht really going
on between them. Berenice still insisted tht he leave
her for good. He said under one condition, she must
follow her to one place, she said no and told him to
leave. He pulled away when Berenice's mother approached
them, Miguel gave a fake laugh tht sounded very nervous.
Berenice entered with her mom. Her mom turned to her
and asked wht really going on between her and Miguel.
Miami: Barbara called Fabian and asked how was he doing
in New York. Fabian said everything went great. (He was
hugging Marcia by the pool) Barbara apologized for
being jealous. Fabian said she will never change, he
said he'll be home next week. Barbara said she had a
surprise for him and he'll like it. SHe was hugging a
teddy bear aaa... i mean a stuffed rabbit.
Hacienda casablanca: Diego returned, angry coz the
house was dark. He switched on the lights. He said
Paloma was cruel.
Paloma's apartment: Paloma was sorting some ads into
files so tht she can find a job tomorrow. Paloma was
worried coz most of the compnay wanted workers with 3
years epxerience. She had the language proficiencies
part but didn't have the 3 years experience part. Even
being a receptionist need 3 years experience. Soledad
said she had all the qualities the company need, she
talks many languages and she's beautiful . Paloma said
she was saying tht because Soledad was her mother.
Soledad suggested tht Paloma become a model but Paloma
reminded her wht happen the last time she wanted to be
a model. Paloma was stashing something out of her view,
Soledad was curious and told her not to have high hope.
Paloma pulled out an ad of a transnational company tht
offered 1000 dollars to 10 000 dollars per month and no
experience needed. Soledad's eyes rounded with hope.
She said tht's the job Paloma need. So she told her
daughter to get to sleep early. She need to get up
early and looking beautiful tomorrow. Paloma hope they
won't ask for reference name. Soledad said she can
write her mom's name anytime as her reference :). They
hugged and later walked arm in arm to their room.
Don Manuels' room: Don Manuel was asleep and Matilde
slowly slipped off the bed but he caught her and asked
where she was going. She always go to the kitchen at
tht hour, he was suspicious and grabbed her asking her
over and over again where was she going. He was hitting
her and Jeremy came to the rescue, he hit Don Manuel's
stomach. He fell to the bed and Jeremy ran looking for
Matilde who ran out of the room earlier. Don Manuel was
in pain and called Matilde's name.
outside: Jeremy went to check on Matilde. Matilde asked
if he like looking Manuel hit her. Jeremy said he would
never tht happen. Matilde said her uncle will always do
tht. Jeremy suggest they ran away but Matilde yelled no
coz she will never leave not until she inherit the
hacienda. She wanted Jeremy to help her kill Don Manuel
but Jeremy said no. Matildde said he didn't love her.
Jeremy said he loved her. She yelled telling him to do it for her.
Jorge Latore's office: Daniela went to see Latore. She
wanted to hear Latore's story. Latore said he never
betrayed Diego. Daniela wanted to know everything.
Berenice/Diego's office: Berenice's mom was on the
phone with someone, she said she and her husband will
be responsible for this. Later Berenice was ready to go
to the clinic because the lab result will be announced
today. Her mom said she was having too high hope and
wanted her child to inherit Diego's wealth. Berenice
said she didn't see any other way to help her father,
this was the only way to win Diego back. He would be
happy if Berenice pregnant with his son. Her mom
wondered wht if Diego refused to be responsible.
Berneice said Sanchez Sambrano family will care for her
and then they can help her dad, the baby will be her best asset.
Jorge Latore's office: Jorge told Daniela tht Diego
gave him the rights to make the conditions for his
divorce with Berenice. He didn't mention Elena's name
at all. He did asked Latore to arrange for him to get a
piece of land in Manzanillo, he wanted to leave as soon
as the meeting ended.He wondered why he didn't choose
Elena to replace him but he don't have any power to go
against Diego's decision. and Juan Francisco told him
tht they had knew tht Elena Olivares was Paloma. ANd it

Barbara, sang by Paloma outloud. Berenice recognised
the song from the hacienda. Daniela smiled and took a
sip of her drink she smiled again and said "Poor Jeremy."
Don Manuel's hacienda: Don Manuel said he had a
headache. Matilde brought something for him to drink.
Jeremy said he's going to Casablanca to finish the
coffee tasters course. Don Manuel didn't quite remember
wht happen last night. Jeremy was leaving when Matilde
came to tell him tht it's a good move tht he didn't
take breakfast coz she preapared it specially for Don
Manuel and later she'll be needing Jeremy to help her.
Jorge Latore's office: Jorge Latore said Dona Ines had
been protecting Diego from him and accept wht Fabian
told them without question. Daniela was surprised tht
her grandma would threat Latore to stay away from her
family. She thought it was wierd and must be hurting for Latore.
Dona Ines House: Dona Ines hugged the family photo.
Diana came to tell her tht she's leaving. Diana said
she wanted to go meet Berenice. Dona Ines told her to
becareful wht she speak to Berenice. Diana said she
just wanted to help solve her probelm with Diego. Dona
Ines didn't want Diana talking about Diego's wealth and
hacienda owned by Diego coz Berenice interested in
getting half of Diego's wealth. Diana said Dona Ines
can't talk like tht abut Bereniece who was very nice.
Diana said a woman would do anything if they're in
love. (Dona Ines was 'pot pet pot pet'ing but i don't

much. She wondered if she can treat this problem wisely
and fair. Now Jorege Latore was assumed to be the
traitor. She said Latore was their family's friend and
they can't let their friend be treated falsely.
El Cafetalero: Barbara was on the phone with some more
of the business men in coffee business. Barbara told
Angela tht most business men didn't believe wht they
said, but they manage to convince them. ANgela wondered
wht did Fabian said to Elena/Paloma tht made her stay
away from anyting tht had to do with coffee business.
Angela was surprised when Barbara told her tht Fabian
will retun this weekend to be with her. She was glad
tht the coffee collector was far away from coffee business.
Jorge's office: Daniela wondered if Paloma left with
the cheque. Latore was angry the way they picture Elena
to Diego. Daniela wondered why Paloma sold her dreams?
Why didn't she call Diego? Why did she dissapeard.
Latore believe tht there's another lie. He said he
talked to Margaraita, Elena's best friend. Margarita
told him tht Elena didn't leave with a happy face like
Fabian's version of the story. Elena seemed very sad
and angry, and she warned Margarita to becareful with
whatever she do in the company. Daniela began to agree
tht they might had do something to Elena and didn't
even give her last cheque. The truth only Elena and
Fabian knew. Daniela said the bad thing is, they only
heard the story of Fabian's version. Latore said they
didn't have to lie, both of them knew Fabian was
capable to do anything. Daniela understood him completely.
Miami: FAbian was shaving and Marica was with him. He
said he can't break the news to Barbara on the phone,
he need to meet her. Marcia wondered wht was Barbara's
surpsie. Fabian said it would be one of her stupid
stuff. He said he need to return coz he had a family
thing to settle.
Jorge Latore's office: Daniela wondered wht Fabian did
tht made Elena disappeared. Both of them agreed tht
Fabian might have thretened Elena so Elena left to
someplace tht on one can find her. Latore said they
need to get Margarita to talk to them and contact him
as soon as she got news from Elena.
El Cafetalero: Margarita answered the phone and it was
Elena/Paloma. Later Angela and Barbara came to her
table and she told Elena to wait. Elena/Paloma didn't
want to wait but Margarita put her on hold anyway.
Angela told MArgarita to make a copy of each name and
address in the address book and she wanted tht by
today. Magarita agree to make it done. Later Angela and
Barbara left. She continue to chat with Elena. She said
she put her on hold because Angela and Barbara was in
front of her. Elana told her not to believe wht ever
they told her. They tried to trap her. and made her
quit. MArgarita asked where was she. Paloma said she
can't tell her. Elena/Paloma was embarrased to ask a
favour from Margarita but she really need a reference
for her to find another job. She need Margarita to get
her some blank papers with El Cafetalero's letter head.
She need to fake the documents coz she need a job.
Margarita asked for her address but Paloma refused to
give her address and said she'll call her later this
afternoon. Margarita said she need to give her address
and she will send the papers to her personaly. Elena
finally give in and told her the address. She made
Margarita swear tht she won't tell this to anyone.
Margarita gave her words.
Clinic: Berenice went to see the doctor and can't wait
to begin the insemenation process. The Doctor said they
can't proceed with the process because she's already pregnant.

Berenice walked out of the clinic.
Paloma's apartment: Paloma told Margarita tht she was
living at a fully furnished a apartment at Verrtiz road
near Venados. Margarita promised to help her get the
papers with El Cafetalero's letterheard. Soledad
overheard her and scolded her for planing another
fraud. She warned her not to do tht, she asked for the
phone angrily. Paloma didn't give her and Soledad
wanted her to tell her friend not to do anything
illegal. Soledad angrily went away. Paloma seemed
guilty and slowly told Margarita tht didn't need the
recommendation letter anymore. Margarita told her tht
Latore was looking for her. Paloma asked if Diego went
to work, Magarita said no and he was at the hacienda,
maybe with his wife. Paloma told Margarita tht she's
still have no work. She wanted Margarita to promise not
to tell anyone where she lived. Not even to Latore.
Margarita said maybe she can find a work with Latore.
Soeledad stood in front of Paloma waiting for
explanation. Paloma hang up the phone and told her tht
Latore, Sanchaez Sambrano's family Lawyer wanted to
meet her. Soledad seemed uncomfortable with tht.
Outside: Diego came to meet Jeremy. He told jeremy tht
he can't sleep, he kept thinki g how Paloma tricked him
and now he was really alone. Jeremy asked if he tried
to reconcile with Berenice. Diego said they had nothing
going on anymore.
Latore's office: Latore and Daniela were determined to
invextiga if Elena really got her cheque. Latore said
Daniela would be the perfect one to uncover this, coz
she had access to stuff tht Latore can't reach. He
suggested tht she went to meet Lombana to find the
truth. The work is not easy but she'll make it through.
Daniela said she was worried tht Berenice might want to
reconcile with Diego. Latore said she didn't have to
worry because Diego had already filed a divorce.
Diego/Berenice's apartment: Diana came looking for
Berenice but only Berenice mom was there. She told
Diana tht Berenice wnt to the clinic because she wasn't
feeling well.
On the way out, Diana met Miguel who told her tht was
on the way to an interview. Diana told him tht she came
to see Berenice but she was at the clinic. He said he
decided to pass the interview coz he wanted to go out
with Diana coz sh'es more important. People will have
to queu up to get his service.
Latore's office: Daniela promised to do the best she
can. Latore hope Daniela will help him by calling Diego
so tht he can tell Diego the truth. Diego was deceited
by his own family. Diana said if they tell Diego
anything, he would be much more intense and everything
they were working on might be ruined. She excused
herself and left for El Cafetalero.
El Cafetalero: Daniela went to meet Margarita and
looking for Lombana. She went strraight to Lombana's
office. She offer her handshake and he ignored her. She
told him her name and Lombana quickly stood up and held
out his hand (she didn't take it). He offered her a
seat and said she need a personal favour. She smiled as
she told Lombana tht she need to see the financial
transaction and made him promised not to tell her uncle
anything. She winked and smiled again. He left to find
the things she asked for.
Outside: Jeremy and Diego hope they can dominte coffee
at the area. Diego wanted to make sure he' busy all the
time so tht he had no time to think. Diego asked if
Jeremy had soething else to do, Diego kenw tht he was
thinking of Matilde. Jeremy said he was thinking
whether to go back to Don Manuel's hacienda or not.
Later he asked if Diego knew where was Paloma. Diego
said he didn't know, maybe she was already in another
man's arms.
Interview office: Paloma was at another interview. She
completed the application form and said she didn't
write down her work experience because it was stated in
the ad tht no work experience was needed (she showed
the interview the newspaper clip she brought with her).
Tht man nodded and said maybe she already had worked
before, she addmitted tht but rather not talk about it.
El Cafetalero: Juan Francisco was on the phone
discussing something and said the price was good and he
wanted to sell. He told the guy to call him after the
stock market had been closed. Graciela was nearby
digging some files. Juan Francisco asked wht was she
doing, she said Lombana need a file. He asked wht for
and Graciela didn't know, she said Lombana even asked
for the invoices. Lombana was even at the information
department to get more files.
Interviewer office: The interviewer asked why didn't
she write down her reference. She said she was new in
town so she didn't know anyone. He said tht wasn't
necessary. Paloma said she came because the ad stated
tht it was an international company and asked wht was
the work. Paloma shifted in her seat when the
interviewer didn't respond, he was staring at her.
Later he blinked and started telling her about the
company was an editor for spanish encyclopaedia, the
first in Mexico. He handed her a pamplet and told her
tht two years ago their company in Barcelona sold
thematic ancyclopaedia, and the results were great. 2
million copies of the encyclopaedia had been sold in 3
months. She seemed lost. He showed her some more
pamplets and told her tht the encyclopaedia was also
sold in Columbia, Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay. Now
they were planning to dominate the Mexican market.
Paloma truly admitted tht she never thought the job
need her to sell some encyclopaedia. He said they need
a dedicated executive to sell their product. They need
professional workers, he quickly added a question,
asking if she was married. She said no, she wasn't
planning to get married. She preferred to commit
suicide than to get married. He was staring again but
this time as if he's looking at something wierd.
Berenice/Diego's apartment: Berenice returned and her
mom was smoking. Her mom asked wht happend. Berenice
said the results was surprising and they had to forget
the process because she was already pregnant. Her mom
was surprised. tht she was already a moth pregnant coz
she never slept with Diego. Her mom grabbed her and
asked who was the father of the baby? Berenice said
it's wasn't Diego's. Berneice said their plans would be
ruined. She started crying.
Mohamed/Interviewer office: Paloma asked how can she
get $10,000 just by selling encyclopaedias. The man
said tht was exactly the same question he asked
himself, Mohamed Ben Ali Munoz. Who's the one who
deserve 10,000 dollars per month. Later he started
explaining the marketting plan. He said each
encyclopaedia had 18 series bounded. and the price was
4,999 pesos. If an executive manage to sell 16
encyclopaedia per month, the total would be 79,984
pesos. (Paloma was concentrating hard to get the
information). Her commission would be 8% 6,398 and 72
cents. She was calculating fast in her head and said
the total still not 10,000 dollars. He said they will
be paying 2,602 pesos per month and the total would be
9,000 pesos per month, tht equals to 10,000 dollars.
She was still thinking ad said it's not easy to sell 16
set in a month. He said she can sell it to those people
sehe knew. She said she did 't have many friends. She
still asked how can she get 10,000. Tht man said they
had a secret to tht. He told her tht their encyclopedia
had great informations tht needed in uiversities ad
schools, companies and people who wanted to succeed in
life. She shook her head. He continued and said in a
university she can sell lots of copies to students and
lecturers. Tht market would be great and already in
front of her eyes. She began to understood and voiced
out a weak "aah!" The interviewer kenw tht Paloma
wasn't convinced tht she can do tht. So he called for
Miranda. He asked how many encyclopaedia he sold last
month. Miranca said it wasn't much, only 152 sets.
Paloma was amazed. Mohamed started to scold Miranda coz
his sales dropped. Paloma was more amazed to hear tht.
He told Miranda to leave. Paloma's eyes were filled
with hope. Mohamed started explaining tht 152 set
equals to 70,000 pesos. He showed her a thick stacks of
paper and said they got lots of applications for the
job. She asked when would he call her. He said he need
to look through her information first before calling
her. He promised to call tomorrow. She tahnaked him and
shook his hand. He said "Mohamed Ben Ali Munoz will
always help you." She left.
Mohamed sat and sighed, he said if tht woman can't sell
their first encyclopaedia, Mohamed Ben Ali Munoz will
have to go back to the dessert and take care of camels
"Save me ya Allah." HE sat p straiget and smiled when
he looked at Paloma's application form with her picture
on it. He rubbed his chin and nodded his head with a
loud ding music on the background (tht was funny hehehe)
El Cafetalero: Juan Francisco went to ask Lombana why
he was digging all the financial files. Lombana had to
tell him tht Daniela wanted all those information.
Lombana's office: Daniela was reading some files when
Juan Francisco came asking wht was she doing going
through the financial files. Daniela said she just
wanted to get busy. He asked why would he wanted to get
busy? SHe said she had nothing to do at home. Juan
Francisco asked wht information she was loooking for
tht he could help. Daniela smiled and said nothing
important, she was jus tinterested in the financial
state of the company. She wiped off her wide grinn and
asked if there something wrong with the financial
report? He said no. She tried to pull a file in his
hand, but he didn't let go. He told her tht the
information was confidential. SHe told him not to worry
and manage to pull the files towards her. She kissed
him goodby and walked to the door. Later she returned
and said later she would like to learn about the stock
market from him. She smiled and went to margarita. She
asked Margarita to call Latore.
receptionist's table: Margarita dialed Latore's number
and gave the phone to Daniela. Daniela told Latore tht
she got the iformation and knew nothing about the
information. She told him not towrry coz she's using a
phone at Margarita's table. Daniela turned to Margarita
and said Latore wanted to know if she heard anythig
from Elena. Margarita said no Miss. Daniela scolded her
not to call her miss, she insisted tht Margarita
addressed her as Daniela. Daniela told Latore tht
she'll meet him to morrow. She thanked Margarita and
gave her the phone. Margarita tried not to call her senorita.
Restaurant: Miguel and Diana were together. He was
telling her how much he was attracted to her. He told
her tht he need to go see a doctor coz he was sickly in
love. He started to kiss her but she pushed heim away
and reminded him tht they were in public. He suggested
tht they go to somewhere private.
Diego/Berenice's apartment: Berenice's mother told her
tht Diana came but Berenice said if she came again,
just tell her tht she's gone. Her mom asked wht was she
going to do with the baby. Berneice did't know. Her mom
suggest she tell the baby's father. Berneice sait it
would be no use and it will be a problem to them coz he
won't want to be responsible. Her mom asked iff she
loved the father of the baby's father. Berneice did't
want her mom to ask tht question again. Her mom said
Diego must not know about the baby's real father. They
can make Diego believe the baby was Diego's, it's for
their future and so tht they can help her father.
Paloma's apartment: Soledad wondered how can she run
life by seling encyclopaedia. She reminded Paloma tht
they had bills and debts to pay. Paloam said the job
was perfect, she'll get basic payment and comission
every month. seh'll easily get 6,000 to 7,000 pesos per
month. She told her mom about the company's sales in
other countries. They sold 6 million set in Spain.
Soledad still can't imagine how Paloma going to sell
encyclopaedia. Paloma said she had doubts too but the
interviewer convinced her. She;ll get the answer
tomorrow and will get her first pay in one month. She
asked why wasn't her mom happy. Soledad said they were
in bad condition. She showeed her the monthly bills,
their apartment bill, her credit card bills and other
installment bills. Paloma said they can't buy anything
this month coz they need to pay the apartment bill with
her credit card. Soledad said their debt was too high
and they can't afford another debt. Paloma agreed tht
they can't stay in tht apartment any longer. They must
find another home. They ate in silence and looked at each other.
Diego/Berenice's office: Berenice's mom told her to
think it over. She can tell Diego tht she went trough
the insemenation prcess. Se can't let her and baby baby
live down the streets. She cna't let her father be in
jail. She wanted Berenice to tell Diego. Berenice cried
and din't want to do tht. Her mom said she would give a
baby to Diego and Diego will love the child. Berenice
said the idea was very dirty. Her mom said the
situation now was different. Berenice was afraid to
hear her mom talk about this things. She cried again.
Her mom said she can't just forget her promised to her
father. She must decide fast especially after Paloma
came back and Diego will easily forgive tht woman. Wht
wil happen if Paloma was the one pregnant with his son.
Restaurant: Jeremy told Diego to realise Paloma was the
only woman in his life. There were lots of other
beautiful women. Diego said he only in love with
Paloma, sit was like a curse. No other woman attracted
him like Paloma. Jeremy said he should try. Diego said
other woman will be hurt coz he love Paloma too much,
just like Berenice. Jeremy said Berneice was nice
bcause she was swilling to sacrifice for him. Diego
told him to stop talking.
Diego/Berenice's apartment: Berenice called the doctor,
she wanted to meet him to day at her house. It was important.
Dona Ines' house: Daniela returned and Ines asked why
was she itnerested in the financial of the company. Seh
said she suddenly had interest in economical stuff. She
smiled and asked if Ines was hiding something coz her
grandma seemd nervous when she asked about financialnreports.
Miami. Fabian learnt from Barbara tht Daniela was
interested in the financial files. He kenw tht Daniela
was planning something. Barbara said maybe Daniela
wanted to know the amounth in the cheque tht he gave to
Elena. Fabian agreed and said he'll return to morrow to
see her. He asked about the surprised she prepared for
him. She said she had to return first. Marcia asked if
FabiBarbara got the notice? Fabian said he must get
home before Barbara got the notice. Marcia was sad tht
maybe Fabian will not return to her if he went to meet
Barbara. He said he had to know wht Barbara wanted tot
do if they were divorce. He can't rush to break up with
Barbara coz she might nknow how to destroy him. He
kissed Marcia. `
Diego/Berenice's apartment: Berenice introduced the
doctor to her mom. The doctor wondered wht was the
emergency. Bernice told him tht the baby wasn't her
huband's. The doctor stood up to leave coz he thought
she wanted him to help her through an abortion process.
She said no. She and her mom had made a deciision and
wanted him to validified tht she went through the
insemination process and admitted tht the baby belong
to Diego.
