Until recently Tsa Sung was a relatively unknown Chinese philospher of the 4th Century BC and was of a Confucian like tradition.  His works are gaining a following due to there timeless relevence  to modern times. There is a school thought that he is mythical and that he is a name given to the collected wisdom of the time although others claim there is clear evidence of his existence.  However much but not all of what is known about him is from graffitti scrawled centuries after his death at rest stops along the Silk Road.  He sayings are short, some times earthy, packed with the wisdom of the ages and clearly influenced Confucius.  Superficially some seem trivial, but think longer and the clarity and depth of his thoughts all of a sudden become apparent. Here are some of his most well known.
Guest Book      Ask Tsa Sung;

A mouse that can fly is not a mouse

A tiger that can sing is very unusual

Today is not tomorrow and yesterday is not today

Nothingness is nothing and nothing else

He who laughs last thinks slowest

Once the sun has set it will not rise till tomorrow

Even the fiercest man was once a child

A vase and a flower are not the same thing

Even the tallest tree in the forest has roots

Fish do not live in trees

Do not accept food from a man who smells his fingers

Disaster maketh a wise man wiser

A wall may have ears but it can not speak

Rain is wet as dust is dry

The longest day is no longer than the shortest

Most argue to convince themselves not others

A beautiful flower can not love you

The reality of reality is that it is reality

Adversity doesnt build character, it reveals it

On important issues convincing others otherwise is unlikely

A man who has not lived will still die

The sun only rises once in a day

Even the Emperors farts do not smell of jasmine

A man who thinks he is a bird will still not fly

A rumor is as hard to unspread as butter

If you can't say it, don't try it

A sleeping man does not sing

Unless it is death it is not the end

A wise man may know less than a stupid man

The wealth of a man is not the wealth of a man

A every rain drop has its cloud

A word is defined by who, when, where and how it is spoken

Reality is an illusion, illusion is not reality

Only the fearful feel fear

Do not eat what you can not see

Men eventually forget unless you steal their land

A petal is not a flower

War doesn't determine who is right, war determines who is left

He who angers you controls you

A runner who will not run will not win the race

Your first born is the eldest of your chidren

War is a waste of good arrows

The Emperor can not fly, but if he says so agree with him

A man who can write can probably read

Death is a once in a life time event

There is no better teacher than movitation

If your emperor is a god, it is time for a new one

The sun shines brightly but makes no noise

One concubine does not make a harem

Sleeping with a tiger is foolish

A nagging wife is unfortunate but nobody really cares

Eating stones will not nourish you

There can be no rainbow without a cloud and a storm.

Man who dream of eating giant mushroom, wake up with no pillow

The past is the past and the future is the future

Removing your finger from the fire will not stop the pain

A dancer who does not move is not a dancer

Even the Emperor goes to the toilet

Anything very large with a trunk is probably an elephant

The first day is before the last day

If you strike an Emperor make sure you kill him

It is easier to get into a hole than out of one

Beware of the man who prays in public

An emperor who is not feared has a short reign

There is no rain without clouds

Beware of the woman who is concerned about everybody

Time does not go backwards or stay still

Making love to a Donkey is difficult and not advised

Regardless of his words an emperor will still die

Saying nothing often says more

There are no waves without wind

Man with one chopstick go hungry

I am not you and you are not me

Being drunk does not enable you to fly

No man alive has been beheaded in this kingdom

You may enjoy the smell of your farts, others won't

Do not eat more than you can lift

If your wife farts in bed, pull the sheet over her head
