James Hubbard Dupy Information and Descendants

    James Hubbard Dupy was born on January 26, 1835 in Preble county, Ohio and died on March 1, 1917 in Divernon, Sangamon county, Illinois.  By profession he was a farmer. 
     He married twice, his first marriage being to Julia Whitfield on February 18, 1864 in Jersey county, Illinois.  She was the daughter of Wilson and Jane (Kuhn) Whitfield and was born in 1845 in Ohio.  Her date of death is unknown.  Julia and James had two children, George Arthur Dupy and Emily Jane Dupy.
     His second marriage was to Sara Jane Russell on August 26, 1874 in Sangamon county, Illinois.  She was born in January of 1850 in Illinois and died in 1923 in Divernon, Sangamon county, Illinois.  Sara and James had three children, Mary Ellen Dupy, Hubbard Dupy, and Charles Otis Dupy.
     Both James Hubbard and Sara Jane are buried in the Brush Creek Cemetery in Sangamon county, Illinois.
