Eirtae, Queen Amidala's Handmaiden

This figure represents Queen Amidala's blonde handmaiden, who is seen in the background throughout The Phantom Menace. She is most prominent during the fight sequences on Naboo, so this figure represents her in battle uniform. I believe her name is Eirtae, but it's hard to be sure. Can anybody confirm or deny this? As with Rabe, the only difficult thing about making this figure was the head, that needed to be substantially repainted (and a little reshaped) to resemble the character I was trying to represent. Fine-grain sandpaper was used to thin out the cheeks and give the nose a sharper appearance, and the hair, eyes, and eyebrows were repainted to match Eirtae's features. |

The parts for this figure were easy to assemble; the head, arms and skirt are from the Amidala "Naboo" figure, while the body came from the Amidala "Battle" figure (with "ascension gun"). The body was cut in half at the waist, and the sculpted belt at the base of the torso was then sanded down to match the "Naboo" figure's skirt piece. The boots were cut from the legs, and putty was used to make the boots a little taller before they were glued back on and repainted.

Painting the head was a bit of a pain. It took several tries before I managed to achieve the right look for the eyes, and for both eyes to match. I tried several different shades of yellow for the hair, too, and I'm still not entirely happy with the color. A couple of passes with a dullcoat spray evened out the finish nicely, though.
